"Santiago, I love you but stop slobbering all over me. Do it to your papá." I smile against the pillow as I feel a weight on top of me and below my back. Alessandra must think I'm still asleep if she's resorting to using our son's saliva to wake me up.
But I'll play along if it means I will get to see her smile. Moments later, I feel Santiago laying on my back, his mouth hovering over me and just like I predicted, his saliva has fallen on me. "There you go," Alessandra softly says. "Simplemente acuéstate encima de tu papá y espera a que se despierte." Just lay on top of your papá and wait for him to wake up.
"Ya estoy despierto," I mumble, gently turning my head so I can face my wife. "Buenos dias, bellissima." I'm already awake
"¿Desde cuándo aprendiste español?" Since when did you learn Spanish?
"Don't doubt my abilities to learn a new language, Alessandra. I have been teaching myself over the course of your pregnancy. I thought it made sense to learn your language as you learned mine." "
