The thought of me seeing that twisted bitch again reminded me of those sick words she said. "It was Zach." And here I am skating with my supposed enemy. She needs to be checked up.

"Yeah sure!" I smile enthusiastically. Maybe a bit too much.

"OK.." Zach trails walking in front of me.

We arrive at the skate park and I see everyone I am familiar with. Hayden sits at the very top of the ramp smoking a cigeratte. The others are scattered around the park. I quietly walk beside Zach, peering at each of their faces.

"What's got into you," Zach remarks.

"Nothing," I reply slowly.

I see Dev doing her own thing a the side and I turn immediately. "Okay this weird, what the hell are you doing," Zach hisses. "You're starting to bug me."

"Look something happened and I'm trying to avoid some people, stop interrogating me," I snap. I walk away from him, leaving him confused and shocked.

I set my board aside and let out a long sigh, then I feel someone's presence beside me. "Kerry! How's it going?" Dev greets me.

"Fine," I mumble, my mind in a completely different place.

"Really? I haven't seen you ages, and all you can say is fine, great," she whines, the sarcasm is thick in her voice.

"Yeah, well I have nothing else to say what shall I do, jeez," I snap back.

"How's Lana?"

"I don't know, hospital bed probably, I couldn't care less," I mumble.

I don't bother looking at Dev. I know what face she'll make. The face of what-the-hell-are-you-talking-about-what-happened. "Kerry, what do you mean you don't care? Your best friend is in hospital, for all you know, she could be dead," Dev hisses.

My spins and I find myself grabbib her arm," You're the one that doesn't know anything! If you could just hear the bullcrap she came up with, I really wouldn't use the term best friend. " I am so pissed off, Dev mutters calm down.

"What did she say then?" She asks.

I look around for anyone that could be eavesdropping on our conversation, although I still decide to keep my voice low. I tell her everything but miss the part out about sneaking in. Dev's face stays neutral for a while, then she looks confused. "So her brother disappears and she says that Zach beat her up," she concludes. I reply with a firm yes so she doesn't think I'm just talking trash.

"Well that's weird, I've known her for years but I haven't once seen her brother also I didn't tell you back then but... I saw Zach wondering around that day," she replys slowly.

My thoughts stop and for a minute I'm considering the fact that Lana could be telling the truth.

But Zach...he wouldn't, would he?

What if this is all true?

No I won't believe it. I can't.

"Probably a coincidence, I'm going I can't stand this," I say in a hurry. Before I hear her reply I'm out of the park and heading straight home. I don't even know what to do. I wish Rick was here.

I wake up on my bed wearing the same clothes when I was at the park. It's 9:00pm and I have 3 missed calls from Zach and 5 messages from him.

Zach: Wtf was that?

Zach: You can't just disappear like that

Zach: You're acting really weird

Zach: I'm so done with you

Zach: Sort yourself out, I'm not going to become a victim for your problems

Tears fall down my cheeks and hit my glowing phone screen. I'm losing everyone.

I dial Rick's number and wait for him to answer. "Hello," he says in a groggy voice.

"It's Kerry, I'm coming over."
