"Oh come on Kerry, you've never been to a proper, wild, crazy party!" insisted Rick. My Best friend, Rick, is the biggest party animal ever known at Riverdell High. Everyone invites him to their parties, things get crazier and bigger when he arrives. He might be this party freak, but he's a mysterious guy. Definitely not one of the popular kids. Usually, he thinks he's made himself invisible to the rest of the world. Black, glossy hair, styled in a modern spikey quiff. Wears black and white most of the time, with his precious item he has all the time, white, beats headphones.
I, on the other hand, am always the one described as shy. I'm just the girl in the background, never really noticed. Always kept to myself. Black hair with brown highlights, always in a ponytail, with a constant growing fringe. Never ever too bright with my clothing, nothing crazy and noticeable.
"Yes I have, you know what happened Last Time..." I sighed. Last Time is the term I use for the last time I went to a party. It was a horrible, awful experience. We drove to the party and Rick promised he wouldn't get too much into him. Rick got way too drunk at the party and didn't realise what he was getting himself into. Well that promise was forgetton about obviously. I couldn't control him and we had no choice but to drive back. By the way my Dad was out of town so I was in a dangerous position. Rick was driving at a ridiculous speed and I was scared stiff in my seat. Suddenly a van came zooming from the corner, heading for us, Rick instantly turned the car and parked on the side, while the guy with the van cursed at us. I was sobbing continously and got really mad, left him, and took the bus home. When my Dad found out...well that was a whole different level. I was grounded and was banned from having any communication with Rick. I wasn't myself anymore, all I could feel was this huge hole inside me. Leaving him was the most stupidest decisions I had ever made, I couldn't live with out him.
"Yeah..." he hesitated, pulling on my hair gently.
"I'm sorry Rick I just can't do it, I promised my dad."
"Please, please, it's not even a big party it's just some friends throwing a party, I promise I won't go too far."
"You can't keep promises, mister, thats what you said Last Time"
"It was a crazy party I wasn't the only one!"
"I am not going and thats it, I have tons of homework to do anyway..." What a complete utter lie.
"I just want to hang out with my 'bestie' and have fun, also.. we didn't recieve any homework this week "
"I'm scared, Rick. Things could go wrong at anytime.."
"I beg you please, I would never repeat Last Time because of the consequences, please" he begged, staring at me with his pleading eyes. How could I resist it, I want to be with him; not spend friday night alone.
"Hmm, fine whatever I'll come, but I need to speak to my dad..."I said finally, unsure of the decision I had just made.
"Yes!" he laughed excitedly, putting his arms around me, hugging me happily. " I promise I won't let you down."
I looked away, trying to hide my nervous, worried eyes.
