The next few days were very hard and different, Rick wasn't there anymore. A few times I would wait at his class, but then sadly remember that I didn't need to. Sometimes people would stare at me when they remember my face from the fight. I sat alone everyday and didn't bother speaking to anyone. Now and then, I could girls nestling into Zach's arms and giggling brainlessly, he was incredibly loud and such a show off.
As I get up from my remote luch table and walk to my next lesson, my shoulder is shoved by someone. They give a loud sigh and throw me an annoyed look. I look back before the person's face is out of my eyesight, it's her. The girl who was watching me being attacked by Clarissa, she is running and constantly looking back at someone. Suddenly, I hear a ear piercing screech from a girl, I look up the stairs and find Clarissa standing there with paint all over sequin skirt. I crouch down behind a table and watch the situation, I really don't want to deal with her. "COME BACK HERE YOU UGLY WITCH," I don't know if she realises that the girl is running away from her, otherwise she would have been at Clarissa knees wiping the rich red paint off her skirt. Clarissa's stomps her heel against the floor in frustration and whines. "Oh my gosh, I will never be able to get this paint off," she cries. Embarrassed of the state she is in, she runs upstairs and cries on her friends shoulder. I quietly laugh to my self and feel much better and satisfied.
Last period is finished so I begin walking home and catch the eye of the girl I had encountered twice, she looks back down and pulls her bangs over her eyes.
I walk out of the school gates making my way to the house, when I feel a sudden pull on my arm. My head spins in panic and fear overtakes me.  "Woah, calm down, it's just me," says a voice in ear. Oh my god, help me, who the hell is this trying to make me pee myself. Suddenly, Zachery appears in front of me and I'm full of relief.
"Jesus, Zach," I sigh, placing my fingers on my temples.
"Um, you've got the wrong guy. It's definitely not Jesus, it's Zach," he says sarcastically.
Effortlessly I give him a fake smile,"Well, I've got to go..stuff to do."
"Oh what a shame, I thought we could go to the mall," he leans against his sleek car, as if he was modelling.
Oh. God. No. Why is my heart pounding? Just say no and go home.
"Umm..Well I-" As I begin to think of my pathetic excuse, but I am interrupted and dragged into the car.
"Good, I'm glad you could come," Zach smiles. I stare at him with my mouth hanging.
"Zach! Let me out of this damn car now! I have human rights too, let me out!!!" I plead pulling on the door handle.
He puts his hand over my hand, "Don't do that because you'll break my door handle," he whispers. A shiver runs down my spine so I let go of the door. "Don't worry, I'm not going to murder you. We'll just go shopping, Rick did tell me to take care of you," he mocks. I curse at him under my breath and give in.
The mall is busy as hell when we enter. He hooks his hand with mine, his hands is so warm and tight. Suprised and embarassed with my reaction, I look down shamefully. We visit every shop in the mall and find out we have a similar fashion sense.
"Wait a second Zach!! Where's your patience," I scream at Zach, while I'm changing in the fitting room. The dress Zach picked out for me is so short and shows to much of my bare skin. The bright galaxy print stands out way too much on my pale and skin. I give one last sigh and head out of the room, preparing for ultimate humiliation.
Awkwardly I stand in front of Zach, trying to pull my dress down. "Well say something, you chose this dress."
He looks up from his phone and his lame expression turns into a suprised one. "Wow, you look.. beautiful. Oh I mean.. nice," he hesitates. But this time, I think he actually means it.
"Well shows over sunshine, bye," and with that I disappear back into the changing room.
After I dress back into my jeans, Zach nags me to buy the dress so I eventually do. But as I approach the till I spot a Sleeping With Sirens t-shirt, and I grab it without hesitation. Zach and I grab a quick bite from Hardee's after we pay for our items. We walk around the mall for a while when Zach mentions he needs to take a toilet break. Casually I stand outside the toilet area and speed through my Tumblr.
I slowly begin to realise the presence of someone looking over my shoulder. Cautiously I look up so I don't look suspicious. As my eyes wander about I see a guy edging closer to me. "Hey, what's your name?" The guy asks me. Panic sets in quickly and I begin to sweat uncontrollably.  So instead I pretend I didn't hear him and look back at my phone, stiff with fear. His black hair is falling over his eyes but he constantly brushes it out of his face. My heart beat quickens as I begin to think of dreadful scenarios.
"Oh awesome, you like The Neighbourhood?" He says, commenting on my shirt. For Gods sake is this guy actually serious, can he just go away?
My head turns to the side and I see his full face. I give him a quick smile as I stand up properly. "Yeah, I guess you were staring at my shirt then," I reply back.
"Sorry, guilty. It just looks really good on you." OK, OK THIS GUY NEEDS TO STOP NOW. I am not going to hook up with this freak, aghh please leave! I walk backwards, inching away from him but as I do so I trip over my own feet. Suddenly I feel someone's arms around my waist.
"Watch your step, shirt girl," he says, inches away from my face. His fingers reach to my star necklace, which Rick gave me, and starts playing with it. "Nice necklace, babe." I am full of anger by now.
"PISS OFF, LOSER!" I scream at him. My hand brings it self against his face, slapping him hard. But somehow his arm is still strong on my waist. All I can see now is his tan face and evil eyes staring at me. He licks his lips and hooks his thumb in my pants.
                              "Naughty."
I begin screaming and throwing punches at him, missing a few times. Suddenly, someone's fist collides with his face and he is sent to the floor. I hear a boy walking past and commenting 'that connection though.'
Zach lunges at him and punching his bruised face. "Stop! Stop, Zach. It's over now!" I pull him away with all my strength until I can remove him from the guy. Eventually I drag Zach off of him, but Zach still tries to grab on to him. We walk away in a mess trying to avoid everyones horrified stares. That guy was such an idiot and a selfish imbecile.
The park is empty which is good so I head straight to the tree, the one Zach and I used to visit. We both jump on together and sit silently for a few minutes. "Sorry, I kinda lost it back then," he apologises.
"I can understand, don't worry about it. He was such a pig," I reassure. Instead of making things even awkwarder I tell him what happened, like the whole thing was joke.
"He started to touch my ass and at that point I was like HOLY CRAP NO! So I started slapping him and punching him, I didn't even know what I was doing!" I laugh. He bursts out laughing and doesn't stop for a while.
"You punched him, wow talk about feisty, " he says after his fit of laughter.
"Well yes! Didn't you hear about my fight with Clarissa," I retort.
"Really!? An actual fist fight? Woah, can't believe I missed that. Anyway, I'm sure she's the girl that tried flirting with me."
My eyes widen as I remember her saying that she liked Rick. "That's funny because she said she liked Rick but then accuses me of having, and I quote, 'undying love for Rick.'"
Zach stays quiet when I say the last part. "Do you?"
I look back at him, confused. "Huh?"
"Do you have 'undying love for Rick', come on stop playing with me."
What. The. Hell. "No I do not, we are just best friends. Why can't anyone understand that." I'm so ticked off now.
"Oh." I see the corners of his mouth move up into a smile as he looks away from me. I sigh, letting the anger go.
