All the Lycans were in the foyer of the hotel sized mansion we had arrived at. Sometimes, it seemed like different packs had a very hard time holding themselves back from building humongous houses that humans could notice.

Greyson kept me at his side the whole time, his hand clasping mine. I looked around all the tall men surrounding me and gulped. Any wrong move and any of the Lycans could finish me off by bending their little finger. That's how mighty they looked all the time.

In front of all the Lycans stood this pack's Alpha and the leader of Lycan's. They were discussing the check for this pack's females which would be in the morning. Then the Alpha looked over the group and whispered something to the mighty Lycan at front.

I looked up at Greyson and he instantly turned his attention to me, as if I had asked for him. "Uhm, what's his name?" I asked shyly and nodded my head towards the front.

"Whose? My father's?" he asked just as silently as I had. I nodded and he smiled. "Declan. You'll meet him soon," he told me and I looked away again, biting my lip.

Declan turned to all of his men and his gaze momentarily stopped on me, before he continued looking over everyone. "The newly found mates are sleeping with their mates, because there are no free rooms prepared for you," he spoke up. Mates.

I looked around and indeed noticed two more girls beside me in the group, one of them I knew was from my pack as well. She wasn't paying me attention, otherwise I would have waved or something like that.

I didn't pay much attention, but I felt when Greyson began pulling me away. Then I looked back at him and he smiled.

"Come on. Let's go to our room. I'd like to use the bathroom before the meeting," Greyson spoke and I hurried to step next to him.

"Meeting?" I questioned and tilted my head to the side in confusion. He nodded and smiled.

"You weren't paying attention, huh?" he asked and I blushed from embarrassment. Maybe I should have listened.

"Sorry, I sometimes tend to zone out," I spoke apolgetically. He squeezed my hand reassuringly. My embarrassment however made my hands too warm and I pried my hand free, to run them down the side of my cardigan. Greyson chuckled at my actions and grabbed my hand in his, brushing his lips barely against my knuckles. The action was enough to cause me to turn into a puddle before his feet.

"We're here." I looked up at the room we had miraculously arrived in, without me even noticing the travel.

Katja, my wolf scolded me. Get your head into the present and out of your dreams.

I huffed in response to my wolf and Greyson looked down at me with a frown. I pressed my lips together and smiled apologetically. I must have looked a bit bi-polar in his eyes by then. One minute I'm crying for my family, then acting all cuddly with him, then I zone out and act distracted and the next thing I am completely annoyed, albeit not with him. But I guess you couldn't exactly blame me. Once a wolf meets their mates, hormones and emotions start running wild. Even you're an adult already upon meeting, your body literally makes you act like a love-sick teenager.

Greyson sighed and ran his hand down my shoulder to my lower back. He leaned forward and pressed his lips briefly against my temple. "I have to go to the meeting. I'd prefer if you'd stay in this room, but I can't exactly take your free will, so I'm just telling you to keep away from trouble," he murmured and smiled softly. "Frankly, I don't yet know you well enough to know if you'll attract some anyways or not."

I knew he was waiting for an assurance that I wouldn't do anything stupid or so, but it would be pointless to give a promise I knew I couldn't keep. Just to answer his awaiting look, I smiled. He snorted and shook his head.
