Chapter 39: Deb is...

~Pearson POV. April 7th, 2022~

Matt begins recording on his phone as he and I get out of the Tesla then enter Blue Base, "Hello?" Matt shouts out, "Hello!" Sam shouts from upstairs. "I forgot my vlog camera. I'm recording on my phone." Matt states, "your vlog camera?" Sam questions as she comes halfway down the stairs, "Oh, your vlog camera is in the camera room, my guy." Sam says as she comes fully down the stairs. "So how's it going?" Sam asks tiredly, "girl, why are you so tired?" I question, "I watched the Batman movie again..." Sam states. "What?! Why do you keep doing that? That's the third time you've done that instead of sleeping!" Matt says, "hold on, I'm gonna put my stuff down in my office." I say as Matt grabs his vlog camera then comes up to my office with me, I place my bag next to my desk and open my computer."

I quickly fill in my Scrum stuff for the day when Matt and I hear someone scream downstairs, Matt and I quickly look at each other then run downstairs, "who's hurt?" Matt and I ask as we walk towards the kitchen. "No one, but Cat had an accident." Sam states, "so um... I'm filling up the fridge, I pulled a can out and hit the box just right then fell off the shelf, hit the floor then sprayed and went all the way around this corner." Cat states and Matt walks around the corner a bit to inspect, "dude, you're gonna get it on your shoes! Your shoes are gonna be sticky!" Sam says. "No, no, no, no, no!" we all start screaming, "you guys okay?" Woods asks as he walks up behind me, "yeah." I say. "Hey, I just wanna let you know Bodhi's a chain. You're not a hipster bro, that's a chain coffee shop." Matt says to Woods as he walks towards the door, "Leaves on a high note." he says jokingly and walks out the door slightly then walks back in, "I actually have to stay here." he states.

"Sam, let's show him Scrum." I say, "what?" Matt questions as we walk into his office, "So every morning for 15 minutes, the whole Scrum team gets together and we check in to share what we're doing for the day." Sam explains. "The purpose of this isn't to make sure everyone's doing their job, but it's so that we can contribute and help to what everyone is working on." I continue, "oh okay. So I have to say what I did yesterday and what I'm going to do today then we all stand up and have a meeting." Matt says, "yup." Sam and I say. "And we do that in five minutes?!" Matt questions, "yeah, all you have to do is to check in and put stuff that's relevant to this week's goal." Sam states, Matt finishes up the check in and we walk out to meet with everyone. "My first stand-up." Matt says and laughs, "Mike Badal, I believe you were first." Sam states, "Yesterday I did the replica of the Overkill theme, I wrote the first dark melody for the Overkill theme with four more to go." Mike states and Matt opens his mouth in shock. "Next is Pearson." Sam says, "I helped Tanner with some Dope or Nope stuff, and I also wrote some stuff for Overkill." I state and Matt opens his mouth with more shock.

We finish the Scrum meeting so I quickly run up to my office and grab my laptop then Matt and I exit Blue Base, "so I keep having Syntec dreams. Some stuff just feels so vivid and real to me, I'm wondering if it's because I'm obsessing over it or it's a normal thing after being mind controlled." Matt states as we walk into Red Base, "I mean, I've had some Syntec related dreams... but I dunno." I say. "Hey guys, quick question. Do you guys have Syntec related dreams?" Matt asks, "Yes! I had one last night!" Bailey states, "No, Stop!" Matt says. "I had one last night and it was about Matt being mind controlled." Bailey says, "That was real life Bailey, that wasn't a dream." Woods says, "it was like I was reliving a nightmare, in my nightmares." Bailey says. "Mine feel like they're places I've never been. It feels like new faces but everyone's dressed in Syntec and everyone's upset... I dunno, it's really strange stuff." Matt states, "let's get to this meeting!" I say then we walk into Red Base's conference room. "Hey Matt, try not to hit your head against the desk today!" Sam and I say, "what?" Matt questions, "the last time we had a meeting with all of us together... *Cough*(Syphus)*Cough* ... hit your/his forehead against the desk." I explained then we all burst out laughing... except for Matt.
