~Pearson POV. January 19, 2022~
Matt and I entered Blue Base to find everyone waiting for us. "Hello!" I greeted, "Hi!!" Woods and Bailey responded.
"Well, I'd like to know the difference between Active and Passive," Sam stated, "The only two active dots we saw were Matt and Ben," I remarked.
"So what separates me and Ben from everyone else?" Matt queried, "It might be the Absalate," Woods suggested.
"Yeah, I mean, I think of it as the Absalate is what's keeping you alive according to the Syntec survivor," Sam added.
"Well, we don't have any information on any of this stuff, so this is all just speculation," Matt said. "But the Syntec survivor was right about the bomb," Tanner pointed out.
"What if we never found out that it went off? What would have happened?" Bailey questioned, "What is going to happen?" Woods asked.
"Who says there's anything we can do?" Matt retorted, "That hasn't stopped us before," Sam countered.
"Yeah, but in the past, it was involving us and tied to things that we could possibly find in the studio," Matt argued.
"This is throughout the entire valley. We're not responsible for all these individuals," I reminded them, "These people don't know what we know, so we should do something about it," Woods insisted.
"Should we tell everyone and start a widespread panic?" Matt questioned, "I think we should try and find a solution," Bailey suggested.
"Well, I'm sure there are people in our valley watching our videos," I said, "We have the knowledge that people are infected; we need to do something," Woods urged.
"I've been to the doctors; they didn't understand what was happening," Matt revealed.
"Our best solution is the Spire; we know it releases the antidote. As far as we know, Woods, Sam and Pearson could be safe. so if we can turn on the Spire and release the antidote, that means we can save people," Bailey proposed.
"I think we should use the resources we have," Sam agreed, "The only resource we have is John Doe. But if you recall when we reached out before about the body outline, nothing. He hasn't even responded. I think we should hit him up but not really expect anything," Matt suggested.
"Yeah, that is our only option," Sam conceded, "Okay... Let's see if he responds," Matt said, then walked towards Mega Desk.
"I'm actually gonna try calling the survivor one more time," Woods declared as he headed towards the Dope or Nope set.
As Matt was writing up an email to John Doe and Woods trying to call the Syntec survivor, it left the girls and Tanner waiting patiently.
After a couple of minutes, a police car pulled up in front of the door. "Uh, there's a... cop," Cat announced.
"What?" Matt exclaimed, poking his head out from Mega Desk.
"Oh, he's fully coming here," Bailey observed.
The officer knocks on the door, and Cat opens it. "Good afternoon, ma'am... I'm Officer Maddix. I'm looking for a Woodland Demars. Is he here?" Officer Maddix asked.
"Uh... yeah. That's me," Woods responded as he walked over, "I just have a couple of questions for you," Officer Maddix states.
"What's happening?" Sam asks.
"Unfortunately, I can't say that at this time. I need Mr. Demars to come speak with me down at the station," Officer Maddix says.
"What's going on?" Woods asks, "You don't know?" Officer Maddix says.
