~Pearson POV. May 18th, 2022~

Matt and I walk up to the front of Blue Base to see a folder taped to the door, "oh, there must be some maintenance going on soon." Matt says as he grabs the folder then we go inside. "Hello?" He shouts, "Hello!" Sam shouts, "did you guys see the thing on the door?" Matt asks. "Yeah, but it wasn't labeled. So I assumed it wasn't for me." Sam states as he and I enter his office, he sits on the couch as he opens the folder. He reads it over for a few seconds then closes it and sighs, "what?" I question, "Notice of termination. You are hereby notified that under the terms of lease agreement for the rent and use of the premises listed. You are currently in violation of section 2, paragraph 2 as follows. You've been participating in illegal activity on the premises. A three day notice is provided to you with the lease in California code civil procedure." Matt reads.

"Hold up, what?!" I shout, "Shh! Not so loud!" Matt tells me, "Is there clarity as to why?" I ask. "No... but there's a bunch of papers for me to sign." he sighs, "we need to take this to the team. It's about 863." He states, "Okay." I say and we get up. We walk out of his office and over to the kitchen to see Sam, Woods, Bailey, and Alex sitting there. Matt drops the file onto the table and they all look at each other then to Matt, "what is it?" Bailey asks as Woods opens it. "Notice of termination to Matthew." Woods reads, "our lease?" Sam questions, "Yup. We're being evicted." Matt says. "I tried calling the office but our call went straight to voicemail. There's smoke rising from the unit next door but there doesn't seem to be any signs of fire. A group of people are gathered outside and seemed concerned." Woods reads, "so this is from our neighbors." Bailey said. "Why are we getting these complaints now?" Sam asks, "I don't know. This one was on the front of blue." Matt states, "I think I saw one on the front of Red Base." Bailey tells us. "Pearson and I will go grab the other ones, I want everyone to meet in the conference room." Matt states, "Okay." Everyone says so Matt and I walk out of Blue Base as everyone begins going upstairs.

"I'll take Red, you take Orange." Matt says and I nod then I jog over to Orange Base, I grab the folder off the door then I walk back to Blue Base with Matt. We jog up the stairs as Sam steps into the conference room, "we got all three." I say then Matt and I pass Sam the folders. "So... Apparently these were on the front doors to all our units. It's an eviction notice from our landlord." Sam states as she passes one to Shenelle and one to Lauren, "Why?" Lauren asks, "I have no idea." Matt states. "All of these are complaints from our neighbors about us." I state, "Nobody brought any of these complaints to us." Woods says, "that's why this is so weird because we've never had these conversations with our neighbors before." Sam said. "So basically, it's all about stuff that has happened with 863." I state, "From Greg. Last night, around 9pm. Our security cameras picked up footage of a strange man in the parking lot, he was wearing all black and had glowing red goggles. Seems like some sort of costume, but he was alone and acting suspicious. Any idea who this might be? I don't want to put my employee's in some kind of danger so I was planning on having them work from home until we get this sorted out." Sam reads.

"From Greg. I was working late last night and saw the tenants next door hiding in their van, in the parking lot at 3am. I don't feel comfortable knowing that they might be involved in illegal activity taking place right outside my place of employment. If you don't take action immediately, I'm going to the police." Woods reads, "when was that? During the stakeout?" Matt questions, "yeah, when I jumped off the roof to protect you from B27." I say. "Is it technically loitering if it's after hours?" Bailey asks, " Better yet. Is it loitering if we rent the space?" Matt questions. "There's more." Woods states, "okay, continue." I told him.
