~Pearsons's POV. June 2nd, 2022~

I grabbed my phone off my desk before walking to the back of the studio with the crew, pushing open the fire exit, "Do you really think this is going to work?" Sam asked as she adjusted the camera rig on her shoulder. "Well I hope so, Scott is the only one who has the answers." Matt responded, "He's also the most likely suspect in Deb's murder." I brought up, "That's also true." Woods remarked as we entered the Red Base warehouse. "I'm gonna drive this to the spot, I'll be back." Matt got into the Mountaineer then drove out of the parking lot.

Once the car was back in place, we waited in the bushes a few feet away from the car for what felt like hours until Scott appeared, "He's here!" Sam and I whispered. "No, stop! You're kidding me!" Matt rushed out from behind the bushes, climbing the short stone wall. Scott turned around with his gaze darting from each of us, "No... uh... Syntec employees are restricted from speaking to any members of the media... or the press." Scott said nervously, "I realize you're perplexed, but I can explain." Matt said as he reached his hand out. "Okay..." Scott shuffled around a bit before leaning against the Mountaineer, "This Mountaineer, I just moved it into this spot. No joke, I literally have the key right here." Matt reached into his pocket and pulled out a key ring without the Mountaineers key, "What the heck?" Matt said confused as Scott then pulled out the key. "Okay, I literally had those keys two minutes ago. Look at the dust on this car, it's been sitting in my warehouse." Matt explained, "I-I-I'm sorry, this is a lot." Scott stammered, "I know, but I'm sure we can answer your questions and vice versa." I said.

"How about this? We can go into my studio and we can just sort some things out." Matt told Scott, "How far is the studio?" Scott asked, "It's literally a unit in this building." I gestured to the building behind us. "Okay... Sounds good.... Sorry, this is..." Scott sighed, "I know it's a lot but I'm sure we've got a lot of answers for you that are going to help explain some things, I'm sure you also have answers for me." Matt said, "Okay, um... Lead the way." Scott nodded so we stepped off the stone wall and began walking towards Blue Base.

"Scott, can I ask you a question?" I asked, "Sure." He shrugged, "This looks different to you.. Right?" I questioned. "Yeah... Things are-um..." Scott stammered, "What's different?" Bailey asked, "I can't tell for sure.. I'm just not feeling well." Scott said as Woods opened the back door of Blue Base. "Why don't we head up to the conference room." Matt said as we walked towards the stairs, "Do you want anything to drink or eat?" Woods asked. "Water, maybe." Scott replied, "Okay, there's some upstairs." Matt walked upstairs with us following, "When did... They change everything?" Scott questioned. "It's been years, we've been in this unit since 2016." Sam explained, "I'm sure this all looks different to you, what year do you think it is?" Woods asked as he sat down, "When I worked here, it was the year 2000." Scott answered.

"So before I start asking questions, I want to give you an opportunity to ask some questions because you seem pretty disoriented right now." Matt told Scott, "Umm...it's just... I don't know how to explain anything. How is this so different?" Scott questioned, "I don't know what it looked like beforehand." Matt states. "It was just... Syntec. There were labs and-and..." Scott stuttered, "It was Syntec... It was just a long time ago." Matt sighed, "I've got some questions that I've typed out, a lot of them are from our audience. That's who this is going out to. Again, we're not a news operation, we're just youtubers and just trying to figure some stuff out here." Matt explained. "I don't know what that is, but okay..." Scott replied, "How do we describe it?" Sam questioned, "You're familiar with video, right?" I asked. "Yeah." Scott nodded, "Well we upload videos to the internet." Matt told him, "So... What year was it when you were at work?" Bailey asked. "Uh... When I worked here, it was 2000." Scott answered, "Do you remember why you were going to Deb's apartment?" Woods asked, "I- I think that Deb is... Um.. I think someone was trying to hurt her and I just wanted to warn her." Scott stated.
