The worker behind the counter frowned, looking Venti up and down as if really taking him in, then looking back down at the bow, clatter of arrows, cameras, laptop, voice recording devices, tracking devices, a green cape and three bottles of vodka in front of him.

Venti grinned up at the muscular worker, having to crane his head as the man was about a head taller than him as he drummed his fingertips against the counter.

The man opened his mouth, closed it, then opened it again. Something which he had been doing on repeat for the last minute.

"I don't know whether you're a secret agent or about to commit a murder." The man's gruff voice finally said, beginning to scan his items.

"Would you believe, I just like hunting." Venti chuckled, hoping it was enough to convince the man to not ask anymore questions.

The man paused at that, looking Venti up and down again. If Venti had a bigger ego he might have thought the man was checking him out. "You? A guy like ya going hunting?" A dry chuckle followed his words.

"I will have you know I'm great with a bow and arrow! I'm so good it's like the wind listens to me and carries the arrow wherever I want it to go!" Venti shot back at him, offense lacing his words.

The man chuckled again, shaking his head and continuing to scan the items. "eh, I don't really care, Just don't bring em cops here, ay?"

"Well, if it makes you feel any better if the cops do come here then that'll probably mean you'll only be investigated for a few weeks until none of it ever happened." Venti knew he was being careless, but being careless to a guy he would probably never see again didn't really matter.

The man paused, again, and suspiciously eyed Venti. "Should I be selling ya this?"

"Yes, you should, besides it shouldn't be suspicious, I mean you sell this weird combination of items at this store. The shop is called 'All you can buy' after all! Just.. Trust me." Venti quickly read the man's nametag. "Joe." Joe grunted at that, but continued his job and put everything in a plastic bag.

"Whatever, just be careful kid, kay? Don't wanna see ya on the news for the most wanted." The man told him, handing him the bag with all his new belongings.

"Yeap! I promise! Thanks Joe!" Venti giggled as he skipped out of the shop, now after being somewhat prepared he felt a bit lighter.

He went to a restaurant and ordered some soy-sauce rice noodles, then went to the local supermarket and ordered an apple for dessert, his favourite.

Then came the task he dreaded, calling the taxi, which meant that he was soon to enter the party. He only had one chance to stop the murder in this time loop, and this was it.

His plan wasn't too complicated. Of course comes the basics, disposing the food and drinks. But then comes the new parts of the plan. The first step was to set up his new laptop and connect it to the camera and voice recorder. Then, the difficult part, he needed to connect a microphone and camera to Kaeya, then keep an eye on him the whole night. Then, when Kaeya is off talking to people on his own Venti would open up his laptop and spy on the blue haired man.

Sure, it was a bit of an invasion of privacy but if it was going to save Kaeya's life it was worth it, right?

Besides, if he did fail and got another chance at least he would be able to watch the recording and listen to the voices to get an idea of what's going on, to help him next time.

If there was going to be a next time.

No.

He couldn't allow himself to think like this, he couldn't afford it. He needed to think positively for the sake of his sanity.

He needed to keep a positive mindset in order to save Kaeya.
