Shimmer in the Night
A glimmer in the sky, for what is that I see?
A star keeping a secret just for me,
It glitters and sparkles, casting a light upon me,
Its companions lasting all to the right,
Dancing and the champions fighting for attention,
With lights I should not mention,
The moon lights the way for me,
A path that causes and leads me to glee,
For what would I expect,
But nothing but the best,
i tighten my vest around my chest,
Lead me to my path,
For I cannot do the math,
Take care of me, oh great night,
Show me your great might,
And I will set out to find you,
He met me with a torn leather shoe,
His set of lashes like a feather,
And in this one shimmer in the night,
It is all of my light, that led me to this path,
That it led me to him, my mate,
For without this shimmer of light in the night,
I would never have made it through the darkness,
And I would have lost my sight
