Morning/Mourning

I'm not a morning person
I lay in my bed for three
more hours just to get
my bearings with the world

I'm not a morning person
I need four hundred
milligrams of caffeine
just to stand on my feet

I'm not a mourning person
I can't feel my feelings
and they go in a box in the
back of my closet

I'm not a mourning person
It all slips through my fingers
before I can even find
a proper grip on it
