My Dad's not dead,
so the pain is not comparable

My Dad's not dead,
but he still won't be at my wedding

My Dad's not dead,
and I don't know what that's like.

My Dad's not dead,
but I still grieve this person who is alive.

My Dad's not dead,
and I know it's not the same loss.

My Dad's not dead,
but he will never know my children.

My Dad's not dead,
but it would be easier if he was.
