She flows through
the world like the
cigarette smoke he
breathed into her lungs
He muted her and
hushed her and
sucked the light out
of her eyes with his kiss
She could do anything
She was wild and free
She could do anything
but she chose to love him
Does he tell her he
loves her to remind her
or to remind himself?
