Thandruill's Daughter

Back in Mirkwood

River and Thandruill get back to Mirkwood, and they are both angry. They are greeted by Legolas who can tell they are in a mood, River goes back to her chambers and tries to calm down. Thandruill tells Legolas what Thorin was up too, he says ( he wanted to marry River as an apology) Thandruill nods. They walk to Rivers chambers and see her trying to calm down, she looks up and says ( he is an idiot, thinking Ada would say yes). Thandruill smirks and says ( remember the look on his face), she smiles and nods.

A week later River is writing a letter to Lindir, they keep in contact and have become close. She smiles as she writes, Legolas walks in and says ( writing to your lover). She turns around and says ( at least I have one), he looks at her shocked and says ( I can have one if I wish). She smiles and says ( shame there isn't any deaf blind eliths they would be perfect for you), he runs over and takes her letter. She chases him and says ( give that back Leggy, or i will kill you), he shouts ( my dear Lindir how I miss our chats). He runs to the throne room and says ( Ada help she is going to kill me), he hears River yell ( Legolas give it back). She walks into the room and walks to her brother, she holds her hand out and says ( give it back now). He gives her the letter, and as she walks out she hears ( oh Lindir I miss hearing you play the harp). She runs back in and jumps on Legolas, Thandruill just looks at them and says ( why were they twins).

Later at dinner River ignores her brother who has a black eye and split lip, she eats while reading a book. Thandruill walks in and sees his sons face, he tries not to laugh and says ( Legolas what happened). She looks up and says ( I taught him a lesson), Thandruill sits down and says ( what lesson). She looks at him and says ( don't mess with me), Legolas gives her the stink eye. Thandruill says ( did you forget she has my temper), Legolas says ( yes I did) she smirks at him. She stands up and says ( goodnight Ada, goodnight Leggy), Thandruill laughs at Legolas face. She skips out of the room as Legolas says ( i will get her back), Thandruill says ( no you won't).

A week later River is reading the letter Lindir sent, she smiles as she reads it. Thandruill walks in and says ( your looking happy), she looks up and says ( just reading my letter from Lindir). He smiles at her and says ( why don't you invite him here), she looks and says ( can I) he nods. She squeals and says ( thank you Ada), she goes to her desk and starts writing, he laughs and says ( i will be nice to him). She smiles and says ( it's not you I'm worried about it's Leggy, he will do something stupid), he laughs and says ( he might, but i will warn him. If he does anything you can kill him). She smiles and says ( I would do that anyway), he laughs as he leaves. She sends her letter and hopes he responds with a yes, she skips to the kitchen and asks ( any lemon cake).

River is sitting on the stairs to her fathers throne reading, when a guard comes in. He bows and says ( my lady i have a letter for you), she smiles and says ( from Rivendell) he nods. She jumps up and reads the letter, Thandruill smiles and says ( well). She squeals and says ( he will come in a week), she jumps around happy. Thandruill laughs as Legolas walks in, he says ( what's going on). She says ( Lindir is coming), he rolls his eyes and says ( great she is going to be all soppy). She looks at him and says ( you better run), he looks at her and says ( why). She smirks and says ( I'm going to give you another black eye). He runs as fast as he can, she laughs and says ( what should I wear to greet him, I have to get chambers ready for him). Thandruill says ( you have time little one), she nods and jumps around again.

A week later she stands at the gate in her best dress, waiting for Lindir. Thandruill walks out and says ( you look beautiful little one), she smiles and says ( I wanted to look nice). He nods and hears Legolas says( she wanted to look sexy you mean), she looks at him and says ( thin ice Leggy). Thandruill says ( behave both of you), she looks at him innocently and says ( I always behave Ada). He looks at her and she says ( alright but I behave more than Legolas) he nods, they hear horses and River gets excited. Thandruill smirks and says ( calm down little one), she nods.

Lindir gets off his horse and walks to River, he says ( you look amazing my lady). She smiles and says ( welcome to Mirkwood, you know my father. Lindir bows and she says ( this is my twin brother Legolas, you can ignore him), she smirks at Legolas. Lindir says ( I'm glad you invited me, I always wanted to see Mirkwood), they walk inside and Lindir says ( your halls are amazing my lord). Thandruill smiles and says ( they are aren't they), River says ( i will show you to your chambers, they are next to mine). Lindir offers her his arm, they walk away and Legolas says ( bet they kissing). Thandruill looks at him and says ( they better not),

Lindir has been in Mirkwood a week and is enjoying himself, River has been showing him around. He loves spending time with her, they are in the library reading when he says ( River if I were to ask you to court me, what would you say). She looks at him and says ( I would say yes), he smiles and says ( I might ask your father for permission). She smiles and says ( he would say yes, I hope), they go back to reading. Later that day Lindir goes to see Thandruill, he says ( my lord may i have permission to court your daughter). He looks at Thandruill nervously, Thandruill smiles and says ( yes you can, you make her happy). Lindir smiles and says ( thank you my lord), he walks off to find River. He finds her in the garden, he smiles and says ( River my i court you). She smiles and says ( yes you may), she stands and walks to him. He looks at her and says ( may I kiss you), she nods and he kisses her gently. Legolas walks out and sees them kissing, he says ( gross). They pull apart and she says ( excuse me I'm just going to kill my twin), she runs after him as Lindir laughs.
