Thandruill's Daughter

Going back home

River has spent 2 months in Rivendell and it's now time to go home, she doesn't want to leave Lindir but knows he will visit her soon.

River is saying goodbye to Lindir and has tears in her eyes, he smiles and says ( my love i will see you soon in Mirkwood) she nods and he hugs her. She says ( I love you Lindir), he smiles and says ( i love you too, and we will write to each other). She smiles as he kisses her, they pull apart and she gets on her horse. She waves goodbye and her and the guards leave, they ride till sunset and camp for the night. She talks to the guards and she says ( I think we are being followed), they nod and say the same thing.

The next morning they start riding to Mirkwood, the guards are surrounding her for protection. They look around as again they feel like they are being watched, she says ( let's speed up, the quicker we are there the better). They gallop most of the day, they are camping again and letting the horses rest. Again guards are around her, she says ( who is the fastest rider). One guard comes forward, she says ( ride to Mirkwood and tell my father, that we are being followed). He nods and rides to Mirkwood, the captain of the guards says ( my lady you should rest). She smiles and says ( I'm fine, I can rest when we get to Mirkwood), he nods and walks off. She sighs and looks at the sky, she closes her eyes and thinks about Lindir.

The next morning they start very early, they ride hard and fast to get nearer to Mirkwood. They hear hooves behind them, they look and see Thorin and a few dwarfs. She says ( they were following us), the captain says ( my lady we have more company). She looks and sees her father and his guards, she smiles and says ( Thorin is in for it now). They ride faster to meet up with Thandruill, he sees Thorin following his daughter. He yells ( Thorin I warned you, now we fight), she looks at her father and says ( Ada there must be another way). He shakes his head and says ( I warned him, but he didn't listen), she looks at Thorin and says ( go home, if we fight you will have to face our army and Rivendells. You can't win). He looks at her and says ( you will be mine), he and his dwarfs ride off. She looks at her father and says ( he is insane), he smiles and says ( I agree, but I'm glad your safe now). She smiles and says ( let's go home Ada), he nods and they ride back to Mirkwood.
