"Alright, everyone! Mr.Bonnefoy, it will be with you all in a second so just sit in order." Hearing that just made me more nervous than I was. I held onto my resume tightly and began to take deep breaths. "I hear their family is particular in what they want and extremely picky. Being at this interview alone makes you more qualified than eighty-five percent of lawyers." Hearing that!!! It made me nearly pass out. I doubt I'm that qualified; I was being a try-hard. Seeing people from all backgrounds go into the office and leave sadly made me nearly piss myself.

Some soft piano music began to play, and it calmed me a little. However, I was coming up soon! I looked around me, and everyone looked so serious. I was usually the serious type, but I knew that this interview was going to give me a heart attack. Here I am, though!! Age twenty-five and still nervous. I'd say I was the least qualified because of my age. All these people were way older than me and yet I'm here, and it doesn't make sense.

"Arthur Kirkland! They are ready to speak with you!" The lady announced. I jumped at the sound of my name, and I slowly looked at her shocked. "Yes ma'am!!" I spoke out nervously. I could see the people around me grow annoyed with my response. It made me feel like going home and calling it. However, I doubt that my friend Yao would be too pleased about it. I stood up from my seat and followed the lady into the hallways... this place was so goddamn huge. Finally, we reached what I assumed was our destination. "Just go in when you are ready," she spoke.

She smiled and waved and began to walk off. I felt shocked that she left me, but I began to just take deep breaths. "Calm down, Arthur.... The worst that will happen is they will say no," I whispered to myself. I opened the door quietly and slowly walked in (closing the door behind me, of course.) the room was dead silent and right at the end had a desk and a man sitting there. He had long blonde hair and wore reading glasses. He was writing something down, and I stood awkwardly. "Go ahead and take a seat," he began. He had not looked me in the eyes yet.

I walked over to the chair and sat down straight. "So tell me, why do you think you deserve this position?" He asked. He still didn't look up, and he continued to write something down.  I thought for a moment and slowly parted my mouth to speak. "Well, I am very young and don't have much experience, yet in the jobs, I've worked for, I've always tried to leave an impression. I know your company deals with finance and is known for helping a lot of people who need it. I want to be able to assist in that and be a part of your legacy of changing the world for the better. Of course, by helping out the legal and correct way." I smiled slightly at my answer and felt impressed.

He stopped writing and finally looked at me. His eyes widened once we met each other's gaze. "Wow...." He spoke shocked. I froze in place and felt worried "what?" I asked, confused. His face soon went from serious to very light-hearted, and he began to chuckle. "What's so funny?" I asked, embarrassed. I could feel my face turning red. "That's the first time hearing that all day. Usually, people said some generic bullcrap that really made me bored out of my mind!!" He laughed.

"What was your name again?" He asked sweetly. His smile turned soft and warm, and it was like a sparkle was coming from him. "Arthur Kirkland....." I said softly. "Arthur! I like you! What you said was all I needed to know! You are young, and you seem to have a good heart! Very down to earth, and I want you to work for us!" He spoke.

I was so shocked at how fast this was happening, and I did not know what to do. "Are you sure? You didn't even finish interviewing the others," I said, shocked. He placed his chin on the palm of his hands and began to smile. "You are right; there were five left? I guess it wouldn't be fair to do that," he spoke. He began to think for a moment and suddenly stood up. "Come with me, please." He smiled like he had an excellent idea.

I nodded and followed him. We walked out of the office and back to the waiting area where the last five lawyers were sitting. "Hello, I am sure you have been waiting a long time; now, I will give each other a minute to tell me why you want to work for me. It has to be better than his answer." He smiled sweetly

I looked at him, shocked, and my jaw dropped. The lawyers looked at me, pissed, and began to go down the line. They did not mention anything about the company they wanted to work for. "You may all leave; I am sticking with my choice," he smiled.

My brain couldn't wrap around what was going on. "Come with me!" He cheered. He grabbed my hand, and I felt shocked once more. My face felt hot as he began to drag me back to the office we had been in. "I hope that cleared up any doubts you had about yourself," he smiled. "You were the only one that mentioned something our company has done, let alone the charity work," he smiled. I was taken aback, but it made sense why he would want their lawyer to know the basics of some of the services they had provided.  I didn't say much in mine, but he still knew that I knew about the charity work they do for the less fortunate.
