"So Arthur, tell me about yourself," I smiled. I had already looked over his resume specifically a while back because of the community service he has helped with. He has traveled a lot to help third-world countries in college, and he wrote one of his thesis papers on ethics in law. It was just a matter of time before he was going to pop up in the interview. I guess I sort of knew he would be at the top of the list, but this was a fast interview. No one else stood out to me as he did.

And when he first walked through those doors, I didn't look up yet since I wasn't sure if he was next or not. I didn't look at the paper because I was busy writing notes on the last person. Arthur was the same age as I and having someone young and bright seemed like a good idea. " I studied law at Cambridge...." He spoke, but I stopped him. "No, YOUR story; what made you the man you are today," I smiled.

I placed my chin on the palm of my hand and stared at him. He was very handsome if I was going, to be honest. "Oh.... Well, I grew up in Rye, England... I have four brothers, three older and one youngest.... Ummm my favorite color is green....?" He laughed nervously. He continued to look down at his feet, and I could tell he was super nervous. "Would it make you comfortable to be on a first-name basis? Try calling me Francis," I suggested. He flinched from shock and began to shake his head. "Oh no! I could never; you are my superior," he shook his head and hand in sync.

I tilted my head and smiled "yes, but no..... call me Francis," I smiled again. He was kind of cute, especially when he got so red from being embarrassed. "So, today and this week, don't worry about work; you won't have deadlines or anything. All I ask is that starting next week you read up on all the legality for the company, and the history as well as legal history, then make a report on it so I can see if you did it. It's for my wife," I smiled.

He nodded at me seriously and kept staring at me. "Oh, and fill out this paperwork by Monday; it's for payroll and personal information, that way you get your money hahaha." I laughed, giving him the paperwork. He nodded and took it. "One more thing, we have meetings every Thursday between you and my wife and me. Those will be the same time at ten a.m, and you don't necessarily come in; you can mostly work from home. We usually try and send you updates asap if they need legal approval," I added.

I could see that there was a lot for him to know. "Good thing we have this other packet for that tells you everything you need to know!!" I cheered handing him more paper. "I think that should be good enough; my number is in there in case you need to get ahold of me. You will have access to all legal records next week so make sure you really go over everything," I added.

"Just know that if you share anything, we will have to have you killed," I looked serious. He looked like he saw a ghost when his face turned white. I began to laugh at his reaction and shake my head. "I am only kidding," I laughed.

I stood up from my seat and put my hand out for him to shake. "I am looking forward to working with you," I smiled. He stood up quickly and placed his hand in mine to shake it. "I will go ahead and walk you out if you don't mind?" I asked. "Oh!! It's all up to you; I don't mind anything," he spoke quickly. I hope he gets comfortable with me soon.

We walked side by side, and it was sort of quiet. " so, I know your wife's family owns the company, but what else do you do for it?" He asked nervously. "Are you trying to get to know me?" I smiled happily. He turned red and laughed slightly. "Not really," he spoke, looking away. I felt an arrow go through my heart.

"Well, yeah she mostly manages everything, and I help out as much as I can. I do have a lot more free time than her, and my family and hers have been long-standing friends; I guess you could say I married into the money ..." I laughed

"That seems really nice."
"Don't get me wrong! I'm not completely useless! I have a Ph.D. in marketing and finance and a masters in Political Science. My plan was to be an accountant at first, but my family told me that I would be married after college, so I never really got to use it, but I guess I use it for helping out a bit. I wouldn't mind going back to school, though, to get a teaching license. I wouldn't mind being a teacher; I have a lot of time on my hands anyway, so why not." I smiled nervously; I had been talking for a while.

"Ahhhh!!! Here we are! It was nice talking to you, Arthur; I hope we get closer," I added. Talking to him was so easy. He nodded at me and spoke, " I wouldn't mind that; you seem very nice." Right as I was about to let him go, I forgot about one last thing. "Also! Next week, we are having a party for all our investors, it's mandatory, so you have to come. I will send you an email with all the information, and the day before, I expect you to come with me for a fitting," I spoke.

"A fitting? Are you sure you need me there?" He asked, confused. I nodded "yes because it's for you; we will be providing you with your formal wear for the event," I smiled. He looked a little shocked but accepted it.
