Word about Clarisse getting beat by the new kid spread quickly, everywhere Danny went campers would point at him and mummer to each other, Annabeth kept glancing at him the whole time they were walking, as if she was trying to come up with some kind of explanation on how he defeated Clarisse so easily

Annabeth showed him a few more places such as the forges (again) the arts and crafts room where satyrs were sand blasting a giant marble statue of a goat man and the climbing wall which was actually consisted of two facing walls that shook violently, dropping boulders, spraying lava, and clashed together if you didn't get to the top fast enough

Finally they made it to the canoeing lake, where the trail led back towards the cabins

"i've got training to do" said Annabeth flatly "dinners at seven thirty, just follow your cabin to the mess hall"

Danny nodded "thanks for showing me around Annabeth"

"whatever" said Annabeth

"you know to be honest" said Danny "i wish i knew what connection i have with my real mother, its annoying not knowing what i inherited from her"

"you need to talk to the Oracle" said Annabeth

"who?" asked Danny?"

"not who, what, i'll talk to Chiron" said Annabeth

Danny started into the lake only to blink when he saw two teenage girls sitting cross legged at the base of the pier, about twenty feet below, they wore blue jeans and shimmering green t-shirt and their brown hair floated loose around their shoulders as minnows darted in and out, they smiled and waved as if Danny were a long lost friend

Danny didn't know what else to do except wave back

"don't encourage them" said Annabeth glaring at the girls "Naiads are terrible flirts"

"riiight" said Danny "is it to late for me to go home yet?"

"don't you get it Danny?, you are home" said Annabeth "this is the only safe place no earth for kids like us"

"what do you mean kids like us?" asked Danny

"i mean not human, not totally human anyway" said Annabeth "half human"

"half human, half what?" asked Danny

"i think you know" said Annabeth

Danny narrowed his eyes, he felt a tingling sensation in his stomach, he only got this feeling whenever his dad talked about his mother or when his mortal mother talked about anything related to ancient greek

"god" said Danny "half god"

Annabeth nodded "your mom isn't dead Danny, she's one of the Olympians"

"so the legends are true after all" said Danny looking at the Naiads in the lake again "all those stores about the gods coming to earth and fooling around the mortals, its all true"

Annabeth nodded "every last myth about our parents are still very much alive"

"but if all the kids here are half god" said Danny

"demigods" said Annabeth "thats the official term, or half-bloods"

"then whos your godly parent?" asked Danny

"cabin 6" answered Annabeth

Danny just shrugged

"Athena, goddess of wisdom and battle strategy" said Annabeth proudly

"nice" said Danny "the smartest of all the gods"

"yeap and don't you forget it" said Annabeth glaring at him
