Chapter 8

As summer starts to end a few of my friends come to stay. I grin as I see James walk into the house. Albus is going through an angry gaze at the minute so he doesn't come till later in the summer.

I get nervous when I see Lysander coming into sight. "Lysander didn't know you'd be coming" I laugh. "I can go if you want" he says going to walk away. I shake my head in a no sort of way so he stays. Harry works at the ministry. We can tell he knows something we don't. My mother wasn't home at the minute because she was on a famous quidditch team. She hadn't played at school but she was really good.

"Hey Bella can I invite Sophia over?" Lysander asks one day when we are racing along the lake. Jealousy shoots through me once again but I nod. He grins. Thanks I'll send her a letter right now. I read over his shoulder as he writes it. This is what it says.
Hey sweetie.
Geuss what?
She said yes.
Don't forget your swim suit.
Bring your dog Charlie.
Love from Lysander.

I decide I can't keep waiting for my crush. I have to do something. I have to make him notice me. But how? How should I do that?. I decide I'll go in front of Sophia at the lake. She won't resist to push me and Lysander will get mad at her.

When she shows up I suggest we go to the lake. She nods enthusiastically. I hurry on in front of both them. I was right she pushes me. Lysander stands there for a minute looking confused. After a few seconds he lets out a fit of giggles. I dive under the water so they won't see me crying.

They both run off. I decide I'll kick them both out of my house the next day. If they're going to laugh at me so be it. My plans ruined when Luna shows up. Our parents are good friends so I can't kick him out but I decide I'll kick Sophia out. I walk up to Sophia the next day. "Hi Sophia not enough room my real friends are coming get out or I'll call the police" I say. She nods and starts to cry. "How-dare-you" she'd say in between tears. I was glad when she left a few hours later but horribly sad when Lysander left with her.
