I poke whatever it is in the bowl, moving it around, trying to inspect it.

"What the hell is this?" A scowl escaped before I could reign in the attitude. I didn't bother to check what kind of reaction I'd managed to draw out of Luke. Partly, it's because I just don't care.

I take a sniff, trying to determine what kind of protein is supposed to be my dinner tonight. The sludge looks like the same kind of sludge he served me for breakfast and lunch earlier. I have a feeling it's also the same meal I've had for the last few days. For fuck sake, doesn't he know anything about variety? It would be nice if I could have a different kind of sludge for different meals.

"Sardines." He answered in this clipped tone that solidify my impression of him. Rude and uncivilized. "With pasta." He added, like an afterthought.

Honestly, it looks more like a quarter of pasta and the rest is sardines. Pretty sure it's supposed to be the other way around.

"Can't you make something else for different meals? I'm pretty sure we had the same thing earlier."

I take a lick to confirm my suspicion. Yup. Definitely the same thing.

"I did. We had sardines and bread for lunch. But yes, we did have pasta for breakfast" He answered nonchalantly like he was in the right all along and I couldn't help but to narrow my eyes and shoots some invisible daggers at him.

"All I'm saying is, I feel like you've been feeding me the same thing all the time. I think I have fish breath from the amount of sardines you've shoved down my throat." I put down my bowl and push it away a little. Not feeling particularly interested in consuming any of it.

Luke's reaction to that was to push back the bowl towards me.

"Eat up. This is good for you."

"In what way doc?" I roll my eyes before pushing the bowl away again.

Luke grab a chair and drag it next to me. He sat down, grab my bowl, then scoop out some of the meat before nudging the spoon towards my mouth to feed me.

"Sardines are rich in calcium. You need a lot of calcium when you have a broken bone. So... eat up princess. Or do I need to force feed you?" He asked in this menacing way that makes my blood run cold. I've run around some very sinister figures, but for some reason, Luke takes the cake right then. It's not easy to get me rattled but that one look just then shook me. There was just something evil hinted in his eyes.

I blink it away, trying to shrug off the way he made me feel just then. Doing my best to mask my ruffled feathers, I grab back my bowl and spoon before he decides to actually make good on his threat.

"Good girl." He leans back in his chair once he sees me take a bite from my dinner. Pleased that I decided to comply.

He grab his own bowl of sardines pasta and eat while his eyes fixed, unwaveringly watching me eat. Control freak much.
