"You can't be him. Capricorn is a guy."

"Ah, so you've heard of me." The blonde said while her eyes still focused on the screen. "That's a common misconception. For some reason, you men think the only woman who makes a living by typing must be a secretary. As if writing codes are that hard," She answered in a bored tone and rolled her eyes near the end.

The attitude she was giving me was beginning to tick me off. But before I could do or say anything, Lorenzo place a gentle hand on my arm and said, "Don't mind her. Capri is like that when she's busy. But she is like a little kitten once you get to know her. Aren't you, mi amor."

"But can she really help to find Ivy?" I look at the petite blonde, feeling somewhat doubtful. She's definitely not what I would picture what a master hacker would look like. But then again, Capricorn is known to be different compared to other hackers in his line of work. He is part problem solver, part silent killer. His whole persona is shrouded in an enigma. Would it be a stretch to think that this petite blonde is the real deal?

"Oh, don't worry. She's the best," Lorenzo answered. Beaming proudly at his fiance. Making me wonder how these two ended up together. They look so mismatched, practically hailing from two different worlds. The last time I saw Lorenzo, he's got two supermodels clinging to both of his arms. How did he go from that to this girl who–

"Well, anyway," I cleared my throat, hoping to shift the focus of attention to myself. "I don't know how much weight you can put on this, but Bianca seems to think the Martinez might have something to do with Ivy's abduction."

Capri furrowed her brows after hearing that name. "Well, that is quite the coincidence."

"How so?"

"We think so too."

"We've been looking into Ivy's other enemies–" Vinnie butted in.

"What happened to Johnny?"

"He's still at the top of the list, but you've got to admit, he's a dead end." Capri's words were harsh but rings true. We haven't been making much headway with Johnny Greyson. The guy was too careful. "But we agreed that there's no way he did it on his own. Which means he must have had outside help."

"There's no money trail–" Vinnie started.

"So we know he didn't put out a contract on her." Capri continued.

"That's how we realized, whoever it was, they didn't do it for the money."

"They have other incentives."

"Like revenge," I muttered to myself and Vinnie click his tongue and shot me a finger gun.

"Now, the list of people who wants her dead is pretty long."

"But the Martinez stood out considering their wound is still fresh."

"After what Ivy did to them, they might as well have disbanded. The feds were after them, and most of their properties have been raided or seized."

"But Bea told me they were seen out in public. Shouldn't they be in hiding?"

"Yup, you would think that. And yet, there's a lot of sightings of known key members of the Martinez."

"Which makes us wonder if they've got someone backing them, helping them build up their operations."

I think over what they've said and things finally click together. "Johnny Greyson wasn't just a casual acquaintance, isn't he? He's their backer."

"Oh, yeah. He's so deep in it, he might as well be part of the gang."

Capri took a sip of her vanilla coke and then grimaced. Scrunching up her small nose then immediately shakes her head, dismissing whatever thought that came into her head.
