I marched into the emergency room, heading straight to the information counter. A sweet looking matronly nurse sat alone behind it, typing something on her computer.

"Johnny Greyson, where is he?" my voice came out a bit harsher than I planned, a hint at how much I didn't want to be there in the first place. The nurse definitely didn't deserve it but I was on a warpath. It's nine at night, and instead of enjoying a date night with Luke, a night that we had planned for a while now, by the way, I've been called to do damage control over some fight cousin Johnny had caused.

"I'm sorry ma'am, but this lady was here first. I'll attend to you shortly." The nurse replied, calmly. Her hands gestured for me to take a step back and wait in line.

I took a deep breath in to calm myself and did just that. She wasn't at fault, just doing her job. I shouldn't lose it in front of her. Despite that thought, I still find myself crisscrossing my arm and tapping my feet impatiently.

Luke and I were already on the highway when I got the call to come back. A disturbance at the club, they say. We turn back and I dragged myself to the club only to find that whatever happened had already been moved to the hospital. Which is when I rushed over to come here.

From what I've gathered, Johnny got into a fight with another mafia guy because of a girl. Considering Johnny's not the type to have a girl long enough to call his own, I can only assume this is his girl for tonight. If you ask me, that is definitely not a valid reason to start a fight that ends up in the emergency room. Not to mention the damage done at the club was a few tens of thousands in total.

The lady in front of me finally finished with her business and I stepped forward once again to face the matronly nurse.

"Johnny Greyson. Should have come in a few hours ago." I say in a slightly calmer tone.

"Are you family?"

"Yes."

"He should be in room one oh five. Just down that hall over there." She replied sweetly, together with a smile. Her face was devoid of any displeasure from my earlier altercation.

"Thank you."

"Visiting hour ends in an hour." She called out to me from behind but I didn't bother to turn back and thank her.

Marching over to the room, I recognized a bunch of other Greyson's men and some others that I couldn't quite place loitering around the hallway. They immediately gave way for me to pass through.

The room was a shared ward with about a dozen beds. Most are unoccupied. I guess tonight is a slow night. I immediately saw Johnny sprawl out in one of the beds, and head straight towards him.

"Johnny, you better have a good explanation for what happened, or help me, God..." I lashed out at him.

"I didn't start it, he did." He quickly started to protest, sounding so much like a big whiny baby. Pointing his big fat fingers to who I assume was the other party to this fight. Remorse is clearly not part of what he's feeling right now. I can't even feel sorry for the big bandage on his nose or the missing tooth considering all the trouble he's caused me tonight.
