I step into the hotel ballroom with my assistant, Tina following close behind me. My brows knitted, and a frown is etched on my face as I observe the state of the room.

The charity gala will start in two hours and right now, the staff is still arranging the tables. They should have been done by now. But I don't see a single table that is complete with the basic table cloth, flower arrangement, and tableware. We are running behind and I've also just been informed that our entertainment for tonight might be arriving a bit late due to traffic.

I waved at a gorgeous blonde on stage, our host for the evening. At least one person is on time and being professional. She's currently doing some last minute soundcheck, making sure that we won't have any hiccups later tonight.

"Miss Greyson, I just got word that the auctioneer had just arrived. They are setting up as we speak." Tina informed me.

"Oh good. It won't be much of an auction if we don't have anything to be auctioned off, now would we?" I said sarcastically. I'm not normally so rude to my staff but the level of professionalism around this event is getting to me.

"And your sisters have already arrived. I've arranged for someone to show them to your suite."

"Thank you, Tina." I've reserved a suite for myself so that I could just pop upstairs to get ready. With my busy schedule, there's no way I could go home to change before the event.

"Also the Bonucci have already checked in." Oh yay! Looks like my maybe future husband has arrived. Not that I'm so eager to finally meet him.

"Where's Tony?" I asked while my eyes darted around the room, looking for the man who's supposed to be in charge of setting up the room. I saw him near the other side of the room and immediately marched towards him.

"Tony, why is the room not ready?" I asked, a slight panic mixed with irritation is obvious in my tone.

"I'm so sorry Miss Greyson. There was a problem with catering and we all had to go help out. Everything is back on track over there. And I've requested the hotel's maid to help us set up to make up for lost time. They should be here soon." The man quickly replied, I could see the fear in his eyes. I knew the man had been efficient in the past and this is just a one off thing.

"Good." I nod. Feeling somewhat relieved that everything seems to be in order. Hopefully, with the extra hands, we would get back on track in no time.

I straightened out my dress as I checked myself out. I have on an emerald green sleeveless floor length silk dress. A thin white ribbon cinched my tiny waist. The dress looks simple, but elegant, perhaps even regal. I pinned a sparkly green ivy leaf shaped hairpin to complement my low bun. I think I look pretty good for a first meeting with my future husband.

I groan at the thought. My future husband. Am I really going through with this? Marrying a stranger just because I wanted to be Don. But then again, I've spent so long on this path, I don't think I can stop.
