"Don Greyson, Luke." Jake greets us after he steps through the secret opening that connects mine and Ivy's apartment.

"Jake, finally, you're here." Don Greyson breathe out a breath of relief before his features turned to confusion. "How did you arrive through there?"

I look at Ivy's father, wondering how he knew Jake and why Jake's presence was being questioned.

"You double book, didn't you?" I asked him, finally connecting the dots. "Let me guess, he works for you too, isn't he?" I asked the Don.

"Yes, how did you–"

"He's ours too. Looks like Jake here decides to work both sides. Which other family uses your service, Jake?" I glare at the guy.

"Well... technically, I'm a free agent. I'm not bound to any group, unlike you guys." He tried to reason. Normally I would have killed a man for much less but we need his expertise for this one.

"How much did you hear?" I sighed, thinking of all the things I just divulge about Ivy and me to her father.

"Enough to know why I've been called by two families at the same time."

I take out my gun and point it at him. He immediately cowered behind his raised hands, hoping for mercy.

"Wait! Wait! I might have found something." He quickly tries to reason.

"Speak!"

"How many cars do you have?" He asked me.

"In total? Are you trying to compare wealth or something?"

"No, how many cars, here."

"Two," I answered, still not lowering my gun and feeling more impatient by the minute.

"Show me your keys."

"I swear, if this is some kind of trick you're trying to pull..." I said as I pulled out my car keys from my pants.

"And the other one?"

"It's near the door. On the key hook thingy."

"Show me."

We all walk back to my place and head towards the front door. I was about to point to my other car key when I realize it was missing.

"I knew it," Jake exclaim a little bit too joyous for my liking.

"Explain, now."

"Ivy took it. Ivy took your car when she escaped. I assume you have a low jack for it?"

"Yeah," I said as I pulled out my phone. "It's connected to my phone," I muttered to myself while I click on the tracker apps. The screen showed the blinking red pin drop where my car is currently located.

"She's near Boulder City," I said slowly, my mind racing to figure out why she had headed in that direction. Greyson Hotel is in downtown Vegas, what is she doing some twenty miles in the opposite direction?
