"ok well see you bestie love you."

"love yall." i said back, cutting my car on and pulling out. I waved bye while driving out the lot.

im really not in the mood right now.

When i got home i stripped out my clothes to shower again. I was sweating like a bitch in that heat. When i got out i decided to go to sleep until its time to leave.

my alarm went off making me jump up from my nap. I brushed my teeth and washed my face. i packed my work bag. I put my dress and shoes inside. along with my makeup bag and curling wand.

mel "promoted" me a couple of weeks ago, so i have a dressing room in the the club. I put on my slides and a cardigan. I grabbed my keys and purse heading out the door.

I got to the club half hour ago, im doing the finishing touches to my makeup.  I heard someone knock on my door, "come in." i said

"selene youre on in 5. what song are you singing?" mel asked me peeming his head in.

"Monica before you walk out my life." he nodded his head and left out, "listen to your cue, put your ear piece in."

I applied my lip gloss and put the piece on waiting for my cue to come out. I started some vocal exercises and paced the room. "Please welcome selene to the stage." i heard in my ear. I sped walked up the halls. when i made it to the crowd i slowed down adding that sway into my hips again.

"Hey vibrato i missed yall. I had a long day today. I graduated from high school." i said into my microphone. everyone cheered, i heard some people congratulating me and wishing me the best.

"Thank you. Thank you so much, now lets start the music shall we?" i asked letting the band start. The cheering died down leting me sing my heart out.

"here we are face to face.. with memories thats cant be erased." i harmonized. "although we need eachother, things have changed. its not the same."

"never meant to cause you no pain. I just wanna go back to being the same. I only wanna make things right before you walk out my life." i sang.
"remembering the good times, from a portrait that hung on high. its filled with so much color and the laughter we left behind."

i looked out in the crowd. i see that people are singing along to the song. some swaying to the beat others just bopping their heads. I dont want to admit it but i was looking for those green roots. I never saw them though.

"I made the choice when you couldnt decide. I made the choie i was wrong you were right deep down inside i apologizee." i sang with my heart. i bent over, crouching a bit while rubbing my chest.

"you better sing girl!" i heard a lady cry out. that led to other people cheering out too.

I sang the chorus over and over again until the song was finally over.  "i just wanna go back to being the same. I only wanna make things right. Before you walk out my lifee." i sang, taking a deep breath.

"goodnight vibrato." they cheered while i walked off stage into my room. I wiped my face not even noticing that I was crying. I opened my door and took a seat at my vanity. I started to take my heels off. when i was pulling my lashes off, i heard another knock on the door. I groaned, "ohmygoodness come in."

mel popped his head in, i looked at him through the mirror. "you have a visitor selene." i turned my attention back to my makeup, "who ? just let them in." as i was taking off my jewelry i seen a glimpse of green in the mirror. i did a double take and there she was.

"billie." i whispered. I wiped my face and turned to her.

"never meant to cause you no pain. i just wanna go back to being the same. only wanna make things right. before you walk out my life." she sang softly walking towards me.

"You were here." i said looking at her with big eyes. She just nodded her head, with a jumping eyebrow. I smiled getting up from my seat and gave her a hug. She hugged me back. "I missed you." we both said.

"never do that shit again." she told me.

"you dont either, i almost knocked your shit off." i chuckled wiping my tears.

"no you werent." she laughed and i rolled my eyes because she was right. "but im sorry for the way things turned out. I didnt want that to happen. I was acting off of emotions."

"Same. i apologize too but i also forgive you." i replied.

"yea you should." she scoffed with a smile.

"whatever, but billie im leaving on sunday. are we going to be able to do this?" i sincerely asked.

"we can try. plus it may be good for us. I couldnt sleep for shit knowing you were mad at me." she admitted.

"same. i kissed this ring every night before going to sleep." i put my pride to the side and told her.

"yea the time apart may be good. we shouldnt rely on one another for basic things like sleep." she told me.

"yea youre right. plus we can still talk, we have our phones duh." i chuckled wiping a stray tear.

"yea i know we do but i got us something else just in case." she pulled out a box and opened it.

I took the bracelets out and gasped a bit. "theyre touch bracelets. ive heard of these and i always wanted one. i didnt care who it was with though theyve always been so cool to me." i said putting hers on.

"Im glad im your first." she giggled, putting mine on my wrist. She pulled my hand up and kissed it gently. like old times.
