"for what?" billie asked cocking her eyebrow.
"for early plane tickets to houston." i said simply. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"What !?!?" they all shouted, looking at me as if im the crazy one.
"what do you mean what?? That news reporter just said breaking news theres a wildfire. I was supposed to be going down there to visit my aunt and cousins in like the middle of june anyways. Ill just go now." i explained.
"dude we're safe. you dont have to leave what the fuck." billie said starting to get mad.
"Im not leaving forever relax."
"Relax?!? youre the one thats overreacting!" she yelled.
"oh so im overreacting because im not ok with possibly being burnt to a crisp?!? Va te faire voir." (go to hell.)
"Oop." i heard denzel and odessa say. I turned and glared at them hard. They gulped and turned back to the TV with quickness. "Uhoh." i heard her whisper.
"What? Whats the uh oh?" anyha asked odessa. She was nervously laughing stamering with her words. "drew kind of just texted me saying shes about to be pulling up."
"How is that uh oh?"
"She has zoe." she nervously laughed turning red.
"uh oh." they all said.
"hell no. billie take me home." i said getting up going towards the door.
"No. im not doing that shit. So you can go pack your bags and leave ? you out of your mind if you think im doing anything."
"ohmygod billie im just visiting. plus i was already going to go anyways damn."
"Nope. i dont care."
"ight, imma just order me a uber. the fuck." i said going into my phone. I was about to open the app when i heard footsteps coming closer. then my phone was snatched out my hands.
"billie give me my shit back, i want to go home. stop trying to keep me here."
"what is wrong with you bro?! we were just good and youre trying to leave." she raised her voice.
"ohmygod you literally sound so delusional. youre acting like im breaking up with you. im allowed to visit family!" i shouted.
"lower your voice jhene." i scoffed at her audacity.
"or what? whatchu gon do billie? get mad i dare you. I want you to." i seen her clenching her fists and relaxing them, like she was trying to calm herself down. "clench them ag— heyyy" i was cut off by drew opening the door.
"fuckkkk!" i heard anyha groan. everyone got closer to us for extra precaution i presume.
"woah why does it look so tense in here?" drew asked after taking a look around the room.
"nothing just jhene acting crazy, doing too much. she wants to leave because of a fucking fire." billie spat. I let out a 'i cant believe her' type laugh and just looked at her.
"im not fucking leaving for the last time. im visiting my family ohmygod. And if im scared of the fire so what? Its a fucking fire HELLO!" i argued.
"Dont curse at my best friend like that." zoe warned. I have had it up to here with this bitch.
"I can talk to my girlfriend however i like. stay out my fucking business." i spat adding emphasis to the word girlfriend. I wanted to get under her skin and i did when i noticed her face turn up.
"billie doesnt even want your crazy ass. she told me." she said back with so much confidence. she wouldve gotten away with it if i hadnt seen billie quickly look at her like she was crazy. This bitch is so desperate.
"oh yea? when she say that?" i asked her, taking the hair tie from around my wrist. "If you lie imma buss you and you in yall shit." i told her and billie, tying up my hair. Im not really going to hit billie. i may be really mad right now but i wouldnt. but im so deadass about zoe. i already know she lying so im just gon buss her shit regardless, see how i just set up that trap?
I looked at the 2 girls standing in front of me. billie already know im bullshiting about hitting her so she isnt worried but she know im on zoe ass. what bothering me at the moment is zoes touch. I see her holding billies hand, you can tell she tryna piss me off. "You gon answer my question or what?" then thats when i noticed something i didnt catch before. Shes standing in front of billie as if shes trying to protect her from me.
"billie you need protecting from me now ?" i asked her. She was about to respond but zoe cut her off, "im always going to be here for her. even when youre not." and that set me off. cause is that a threat? I threw my shit on the ground and put my guard up ready to throw some punches at this bitch.
but right when my fist was about to connect, denzel grabbed me up. I took my slides off and threw one at her. It hit her right in her big ass head. "Wait til i get my hands on you bitch!" my philly accent came out catching them offguard.
"Ill take her home. I got her billie. Denzel take her to that car over there." i heard anyha say. unlocking her door. Denzel walked me over to the car, he still had a grip on me but not as tight as before.
He put me in the car, "ill talk to billie lil sis. she tripping, just get some rest ok?" i nodded my head trying to steady my breathing.
He grabbed my hands and rubbed them calming me down a bit , i didnt even know they were shaking until i looked at them.
He let go closing the door. Anyha hopped in and started the car. "Come on bestie, I got you."
