recap "mama, the bra or the wife pleaser?" she asked me holding up both items of clothing.
i looked at them trying to choose. i know her back gon be hurting from them bras. she definitely just pleased me in the best way, so why not ?
"the wife pleaser." i tiredly replied. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
billie and i are outside the house that we're supposed to be touring. i like how it looks, the little yard space out front is cute. its not enough to attract bugs but its enough to give a homey feel. billie parked the car and took the key out.
i put my slides back on and grabbed my purse, waiting for her to open the door for me. she rushed over and opened the door holding her hand out for me to take. i did with a smile and we walked up to the door. we knew the realtor was here because there was another car in the driveway.
"if you see anything that looks even the tiniest bit of damaged you take a picture." i told billie.
"yes maam." she nodded her head in agreement.
i laughed at her cooperative nature and knocked on the door. almost immediately a little white lady opened the door. "hi im sasha terris. im your realtor and im here to tour this lovely house." she greeted with her mask on.
i grabbed 2 from my purse and handed one to billie because i know she forgot hers. i put mine on but not over my nose, i can barely breath without the shit on. she crazy if she thinks im putting it on correctly.
"hi sasha. im jhene, as you can see me and my girlfriend are looking for a home for our new little family." i code switched with a little laugh. i seen billie look over at me doing a double take. but she covered it with a wave and introduction, "hi im billie."
"that is the cutest thing, im sure this will be the home for you two." she started to walk around the house. "as you can see already theres plenty of space. ive always loved the natural lighting of this house."
"yea we're definitely going to need it, you cant raise twin girls in a studio." i joked, which made all of us laugh.
billie mouthed to me, "why do you sound like that?" i narrowed my eyes and pulled down my mask giving her that mom look. her eyes bugged out her head and she sped walked, following sasha. like exactly get out my black business i got this.
"aw congratulations." she pouted. "so we were in the living room but when you walk further in you can see we enter the kitchen."
"thank you so much. oh i like this kitchen." billie spoke. she started to feel the counters and look through the drawers and cabinets.
"what kind of air and heat does this house have?" i asked her.
"its all central. you even have a fireplace right over there in the family room." she pointed. she walked out the kitchen and we followed behind her.
billie and the realtor were talking about the house. i was distracted by the mirror here. its so big, i have to take a picture.
"oh we can put the tv right here on top." billie pointed out. she looked to the side and opened the back door. we both looked out into the backyard. its concrete but there is some space for gardening.
after a while we made our way upstairs into the bedrooms. the closets are huge, billie was so happy she didnt want to leave. i went into the bathrooms and fell in love. the shower is the best thing.
now we're done with the tour. billie had about 3 pictures but it was nothing but chipped paint. we came to the conclusion that this is the one.
"so sasha, we came together and well we really like it." i smiled holding billie's hand.
"yea this is the one!" billie added.
"thats great! would you like to do the paper work here?" we nodded our heads and made our way to the table that was there. sasha and i sat down, she grabbed a folder and took out some papers.
"ok so this is the lease. you guys can sign here and here." she handed it to us. i read it from top to bottom, even took a picture and sent it to my daddy. i seen nothing fishy so i signed it and let billie do the same.
"alright here you go, i have a question about the lease." i said pushing the papers over to her.
"whats the question dear?"
"can this lease be renewed? we were hoping to stay for a couple of years until we're ready to become homeowners." if i could buy this house i would. but of course it isnt for sell and the backyard isnt really doing it for me. if im going to buy i need it to be big enough for family get togethers. this one is good for a kickback, its perfect for right now but not forever.
"im glad you asked that i was just about to touch bases on that. it actually is renewable. as long as you meet with me and youre good with paying rent. then yes we can meet to get you guys a new lease. you can be here for as long as you need." she explained to me with a bright smile.
"ok great thank you. now can i pay here ?" i asked her.
"yes you can. the security deposit is 600 and ill need this months rent. do you have it on hand?" she asked me, putting her folder away.
"yes i do but my paying method is my checkbook. how much is the total? and do you take checks?" i asked and grabbed my checkbook out of my purse.
"yes maam i do." she smiled. "your monthly rent is 3100 and the deposit is 600 so you can write out 3700." and i did just that. i ripped the check out and handed it to her. she traded it for the key.
"congratulations on your new home!" she got up and walked to the front door. "im glad we worked this out. if you have any questions feel free to call." we waved goodbye and she left out the house. billie shut the door and faced me.
we pulled our masks showcasing our goofy smiles that were underneath. we ran into one another sharing a sweet sweet hug.
she swallowed me whole with this hug. i didnt know she could until she did, she scooped me up hands under my thighs with the biggest smile.
"omg billie dont drop me." i laughed wrapping my arms around her neck. she walked us into the kitchen, "im not gon drop you girl." she leaned in and laid a soft kiss on my lips. i kissed her back, with nothing but happiness and butterflies swarming in my stomach at the moment.
i felt something cold hit my thigh it was the counter so i relaxed and sat down. we pulled away from the kiss still smiling like idiots.
"we did it." we said at the same time. "we did it!"
