"Here's what I think, (y/n). First, the angel may have altered settings at the past. So things happened-and us not meeting is the result." Kuroshiro adjusted his glasses. You sighed. "So... We have to find the angel first."

"You don't need to."

The ground shook a bit. You gasped, your face seen from the blade as Kuroshiro fell back, losing balance. "What's happening ?!" You looked around. Kuroshiro's eyes narrowed, the ground shaking more as he tried to stand up.

"Your meeting is a fixed point in time."

"W-who's that..." You looked at your meister. "Did you hear that ?"

"Loud and clear." Kuroshiro held your handle tightly. "Stay in weapon form. Whatever happens, stay in weapon form."

"Don't blink, they say."

Suddenly, the lightposts around the streets flickered. They went off for a bit, and when they turned back on, there was a figure. Meters away. Covered in the dark, except for the gleaming red eyes... The figure had wings.

"Go ahead. Stare."

"...I think it's the angel..." You whispered. Kuroshiro smiled. "Very well, then. Seems like we don't have to do a search. "

The figure didn't move. Kuroshiro looked confused, but kept staring. "...What if it's not ?"

"I don't kn-" Suddenly, an unknown thing forced you back to your human form, making you gasp and fall on your back to the ground. Kuroshiro gasped, turning to you and kneeling down. "(y/n) !"

You coughed, trying to sit up. "...T-there's... A-a wavelength... I-it forced me to turn back !"

"Shhhh... Are you okay...?" Kuroshiro helped you sit up, and turned to the angel. And much to his shock, it was nearer. About ten steps away from it's last place.

"...What the hell..." Kuroshiro growled, turning to you and picking you up. Then, he turned back to where the angel was.

"...It's gone."

Kuroshiro mumbled, blinking. "It was there seconds ago !"

You gulped, nervous. The wavelength that forced you to turn back into human form paralyzed you for minutes. If you're lucky, it'd wear off after a while.

Kuroshiro was thinking. How did she leave so quickly ? She should've left a trace. She should've. In curiousity, he walked closer, planning to investigate when...

"K-k...Kuro...Kuroshi--"

Swoosh. Kuroshiro made a gasp, turning his head back.

"...(y/n) ?"

[Kuroshiro's POV]

Oh no.

At the exact time I turned back, (y/n) was gone from my arms. It felt like she was grabbed in nanoseconds.

And here goes bad news. The angel was holding her.

"Don't blink or she dies."

Fck it. The angel was completely stone ! Holding an axe, the blade pointed to her neck. The angel's a girl, wearing an all black dress. (y/n) was shaking, limp in the angel's arms. The angel had a large grin, eyes still glowing as she seemed to stare at me.

"...Let her go." I glared, walking to them. "(y/n), can you move ?"

"N-no..." She mumbled, sniffling and panting hardly.

"Of course she can't move."

That voice again ! I groaned. "Let her go or I'll shatter you to pieces !" No response. I did my best not to blink. Blink and (y/n)'s dead. Blink and I'll lose my everything.

Blink and everything would collapse.

"...Okay." I went to them, and gently took the axe away from the angel's hand. Then, I threw it away. "...There."

"Tactics. I'm impressed."

"Shut up." I growled, gently taking (y/n) away from the angel's hold. (y/n) teared up, whimpering. "I-I thought I was going to die !"

"I won't ever let that happen." I smiled at her, but never let the angel slip from my sight. My eyes hurt, fck that, but I continued to stare. "Now... Get some rest. That wavelength surely pushed you to turn back. You're worn out."

"You'll be weaponles-"

"Shh." I grinned. "I'm fine. Rest or I'll force you to rest."

(y/n) only smiled back to me, and closed her eyes. I gently placed her down, and made myself... Blink.

As I opened my eyes again, she was right in front of me. Hands on my neck. Wide grin. I stared at her... I can't stop myself from staring at her eyes. They're... Red. Really red. Red as blood.

I kept staring. What's this feeling ? It makes me nervous. Those eyes... Creepy eyes... I did my best to pull myself away from it. And it worked ! Haha !

But then, my chest started aching. The snake's biting again...? What... Why now ?

Her eyes glew more. My chest was increasing the agony it wants me to carry. I gripped my chest tightly, coughing, but kept myself staring at the angel. She might hurt (y/n) if I let her slip out of my sight.

But as the pain overwhelmed over my body, my sight went dark...

Until I fell into a deep sleep.
