[Kuroshiro's POV]

I-i… I've hurt Kid…

"Oooh, that's a lot of supressed anger right there !" Kuro laughed. "You almost killed him… Well, good job. You did as told ! Now, with Kid saying the false happening, they'll send out a bunch of meisters to look for that imaginary snake !" Kuro said in a joyful voice.

"And there's only eight days left for you~"

[flashback]

"(y/n) ?" I looked around the crowded cafeteria, holding my tray of food. I haven't been eating lots for days… I'm hungry…

"(y/n)…" I sighed, deciding to walk around. I must've hurt her feelings… She's been avoiding me since this morning…

"Hey guys,"

I blinked, hearing… Blackstar's voice from somewhere behind me. My eyes brightened up. It's them ! Maybe I can ask them where (y/n) went… Or eat lunch with them…

"Blacksta--"

"Has anyone noticed Kuroshiro's behaviour today ?"

"We're actually talking about it."

I listened as they all discussed, each one of them having looks of distrust and confusion.

"He was so rude today… And he seemed so irritated. Even at (y/n)."

"Well, that isn't normal, obviously."

"See ? Kid told them. They're backstabbing you." Kuro whispered in my head. I stood there with wide eyes, standing still. They were a few steps away from me… But I can hear them clearly...

"Guys, maybe we're just overreacting… I mean, maybe Kuroshiro just had a bad sleep ? A nightmare ? We don't need to overthink things, right…?"

"Tsubaki, we'd actually like to do the same… But he's being too suspicious. I have a bad feeling about him as well…"

No… They… They're suspecting me already…? Was I too obvious ? B-but…

"Aww. They don't trust you anymore. How unfortunate."

I felt a large, invisible spike of sadness strike me. S-she's right… Do they even…?

I slowly lowered my head down, but kept my gaze at them… I saw Kid stand up and talk to them a bit.

I mumbled to myself, feeling my hands start to shake as I tried to keep my tray balanced. No… I can't cry here… No…

"Well, at the moment, she does. But what if she finds out you're spying for Medusa ? Nope. She'll cut your partnership with her, she'll leave you." Kuro snickered. "Unfair, isn't it ?"
