Not realy a stock horse lol but the same colouring and markings... you get the gist.

My legs had wrapped themselves around Brooks waist. We both pulled back, our foreheads resting on each others and we were slightly panting.
"Man I missed you," he said and a smile broke out on my lips and I giggled like a little girl. I quickly pecked him on the lips before jumping down, "Audrey why are you limping?" he said.

"Don't worry your self man, I just got kicked," I said ruffling his hair. He just huffed, "So when are you riding?" I asked.

"I was just making my way down to the chutes for my last ride," he said softly brushing a piece of stray hair away from my face. I leaned into his touch.

"Ok, I'll go find a seat," I said with a soft smile.

"Ok wish me luck," he said before turning back to his friends.
I went to go and find a seat. I sat patently waiting, I watched a few more Bronc riders go before Brooks.

"Now ladies and gentlemen, up now we have the one and only Brooks West, he married his wife a few days ago before joining us back on the circuit, his wife is here tonight to cheer him on, if he wins this ride then he will have what he has been working so hard for these past couple of months," the man over the loud speaker announced. There it was again, the thing he was working for, the thing he was so close to getting, "Cowboys and cowgirls I give you Brooks West on Firecracker!" and the chutes opened.

He was off, spurring and moving with the horse, it was an awesome ride, the best I have ever seen him ride, he was a sure winner.

I held my breath and my finger nails dug into the wooden bench of the old show ground seats, the ride was magnificent, these rides always scared the begebers out of me, after having a not to nice run with the whole bronc riding thing, but I couldn't help but watch with awe. After when felt like an eternity, the 8 second buzzer rang and Brooks just jumped off. He landed on his feet and threw his hat into the air before running out of the arena
"There is Brooks West with a score of 89, for tonights ride," cheers erupted from the crowds and I couldn't stop myself, I ran down to the chutes and tackled him into a hug, wrapping my arms and legs around him.I new that score would put him of in the top few placings.

"You are a crazy idiot but I love you!" I squealed.
He just buried his face in my hair and murmured something. The minuets pasted quickly as we waited for the presentation. We all gathered around behind the arena and waited.

The loud speaker crackled to life "Everyone having a good night?" there was screams of the audience in reply, "Well we finally have the results of tonights Bronc ride. Runner up is Justin Campbell," cheers poured out of the crowd as Justin ran out into the arena to accept his prize.
A few minutes later the first place was ready to announce, "and tonight, Cowboys and Cowgirls and all other country folk, in first place, winning not only a buckle but that prize money he has been working for the whole circuit, Brooks West everybody!"
I froze I couldn't believe it, he won. I pushed him towards the arena only for him to grab my arm and pulled me with me.
We made it to the middle of the arena and he took the mic, "I would like to thank you all for coming out tonight, and thank you to my beautiful wife, who has had a hard runnings when it comes to loving me, I haven't made it easy and for that I thank her," he gave the mic back before pulling me into a deep kiss. We pulled apart and I blushed a deep scarlet and slapped his shoulder. He just laughed and took his rewards and we walked, well he carried me out of the arena.
He got to his car and I noticed a red horse float on the back and I raised a brow, "Lets just go home Aud," he said with that smile that makes me go weak in the knees. I just nodded bitting my lower lip and turned towards the direction of my car, "Ill see you when I get home, I just have to make a quick stop on the way." I opened my mouth to question but I couldn't find it in myself to argue so I turned and went to my car.

It took me 3 hours to get home, and another 2 after that staying home and waiting for Brooks. I was starting to get worried when the sun came up and we still wasn't home. Just as I pulled out my phone to call him when his ute pulled into the house paddock with that red horse float in tow.

I ran out the door to his ute as he parked it in front of the barn. As he stepped out of the ute I started talking and worrying and maybe fussing a little to much.
"Audrey, Baby calm down and before you say anymore come and look," he said as he walked around to drop the tail gate on the float. He walked in and unloaded what ever was in side. First thing I saw as dark chestnut back legs and two socks, followed by a lean torso and front legs with two more white socks and a beautiful liver chestnut face with a blaze.

I was speechless, the tiredness must be making me emotional as a tear of happiness fell over my cheek.

"Her name is Eohippus, it means Dawn horse, she was one off Mocha's Foals, she is ready to break and train. Im sorry to keep this form you, but this is what all that money has been going towards." I said nothing, I walk calmly walked over and stroked the fillies nose. She looked so much like her mother and from the look in her eyes, the nature as well. I took hold of her lead and kissed Brooks, I kissed him senseless, I was so happy to have him home, to have this beautiful horse.
