~ Weeks later ~
It was the first day of school, I wore the best clothes I could find in my closet considering my mom wasn't able to go shopping this week nor could I find many of my clothes amongst the many boxes we have in our new house. I told her it wasn't necessary but she insisted on it since it was the first time we could afford stuff. I rode to school on my bike where everyone else had already made it, ready to start the day. I was very nervous. But at the same time, I felt relieved having past experiences with my friends who had already given me a taste of what to expect. Still, I had no idea what to expect.
I was so happy to meet new people. Little did I know I might have some problems that might've been a wee bit smaller than a Code Master. "Ey, new boy!" someone shouted. I turned around and saw that some boys were walking up to me. I turned around and smiled. "Hey! Can I help you?" I asked. They laughed at me and put a hand on my shoulder. "I don't think you get it, someone like you, has to learn your place. So, what do you have in that bag of yours?" they asked. I shrugged and handed it over. "Nothing really, just notebooks." I said. One of them snatched it from me and they opened it up and dumped everything out of it.
Their eyes widened seeing the stuff fall out. "You mean... You don't have anything?" the first one angrily. I shook my head. "Try next, I might have something worthwhile. Or don't, it's up to you!" I replied and gathered all of my stuff. I began to walk away. Suddenly I felt something inside me begin to force me to place my arm back behind my head. My hand gripped onto what felt like someone's wrist. I used my strength and threw one of the bullies over my shoulder. He landed with a thud as his friends came over to help him off the ground. "Dude, are you okay!?" one of his friends asked. I chuckled and continued to walk along in front of the school. Two of them stopped me in my path and looked at me.
"What the- how!" the leader asked. "How what?" I asked back. "How did you know he was coming? He was behind you!" the second boy shouted. I shrugged and held onto my backpack straps. "I don't know, lucky I guess!" I smiled and decided to push past them to get to know the school better for my own sake. I kept walking to get to the door. As I walked on, many eyes were on me but I acted as if they weren't there. They could believe some skinny kid just randomly threw some bully over their shoulder. Now I'll never admit this to anyone else. But since my friends donated that weird blood they had, I've had strange powers from it that gave me some of the gifts my friends had.
It gave me tons of the same powers as my friends but not to the powerful extent they had. Despite that, I was thankful to have their talents to help me keep moving in order to survive this high school. I wandered through the halls and went into the bathrooms that were kept along my path. Thankfully there was no one inside the bathroom which made this convenient for hiding my calls back to the Video Game Universe and VGHS. I lifted my hoodie's sleeves which exposed my Freddy Fazebear watch. I clicked a few buttons to send a call forward to their own home and waited. All of the sudden, my watch projected the holographic faces of Tails, Bendy, and Monika. "DERRICK! OMG IT'S YOU!" Monika squealed. "Please tell me everything's going as you dreamed it would!" she added. "Monika give him a minute to respond!" Tails urged. "But he hasn't called us in days!" Monika protested. "He's been trying to get ready for today! Come on even we know the struggle!" Bendy said. I laughed.
"Guys don't worry! I'm doing great so far! To be honest, my powers are doing pretty well considering I've had them since the day I left. I don't know you guys handle these things though. Lately, I've been struggling with my ice and lightning powers. But my super speed and sixth sense along with all those other powers have been coming along pretty well. So stop worrying so much! It'll give you guys a headache! Besides I'm plenty capable of handling myself all on my own! You've done so much for me!" I said. "Derrick we're always going to be worried about you! You're our friend! We're still waiting for you to come back you know!" Bendy said. "That's just what I was thinking!" Monika said. "Never mind that! Tell us what your classes are!" Tails demanded.
Inside my backpack was my schedule so I took it out so I could tell them briefly. "I've got six classes. Math, art, history, level 2 computer coding, then there's a break for lunch, science, and gym." I said. "Hmm, sounds like a similar schedule you had here!" Tails teased. I scoffed before hearing the warning bell for classes. "Oh gosh, I better get moving before they count me late for the first day! You guys still on for tonight?" I asked. "Of course! We've got classes right now too! You got this!" Tails said. "Have a great first day! We'll be waiting for you!" Bendy added. Better stay outta trouble!" Monika told me. I laughed and gave them a thumbs up. "You got it! I'll catch you guys later tonight! Good luck with your exams!" I told them. "BYE DERRICK!" they shouted happily as I shut down the call. I exited the bathroom stall and walked back out into the hallway with total confidence.
