I went straight home after having a date with Ian. I insisted that Ian comes with me in our home but he strongly refused knowing that my brother is at home. Of course, I don't have any idea as to why Ian would act that way. It's common for a man to escort his girl home, but it wasn't the case with Ian. I can't really picture my brother as a frightening and overwhelming person that even Ian would forsake chivalry.

Well, I've only met my brother twice - when he visited me on the hospital. I rarely visit home, and come to think of it, this would be the first time in eight months that I willfully went home.

My heart is far from my family in the first place. I could even say that they were a stranger to me due to my lost of memory. It's not their fault though.

As I opened the door, I saw a man laying on the couch with his leg over the other. He's lying comfortably while he's browsing to his phone.

He's my brother, Brylle Andrew - living a lazy life. The man who rejected being a student of the prestigious Ecclesiastes University is skipping classes as much as he wants. Well, I don't have any right to point fingers at him since I'm technically doing the same thing.

Now that I look at him, he's got this delicate and fair skin that even women would be jealous of. His hair is messy, he must not have taken a bath but when you look at him, he's pleasing to the eye and neat. Although he is handsome, it's just that those lazy eyes of his were in the way in making him looking like a prince.

"It's rare to see you here" my brother said without looking at me.

"I won't stay too long. I'm just here to pack up few clothes. I'm going to California this coming Monday."

My brother suddenly froze and looked at me and asked "Ohhh... Is it about the Zodiac Killer?"

I was flabbergasted.

I stand muted so my brother started to explain his train of thought. "You have amnesia, going to California is tough considering your current predicament. There must be a strong reason why you're going there. It can't be just for vacation, right? Gonna represent your school to California? - I don't think so. I haven't heard any gathering or competition that requires to go to California. Perhaps, it's related to Zodiac Killer, I was just scrolling and surfing the internet when I stumbled upon it. So that must be it. Taking into consideration what you've accomplished so far and the fact that you're a girl, then however improbable, it must be the truth."

He even quoted the words of Sherlock Holmes!

My brother must really be amazing! But what troubles me is his statement about me being a girl.

"You're right." I said in amazement. "But brother, what about me being a girl?"

"Please don't call me brother." he sternly said. "You used to call me 'kuya', so please adjust, we're Filipinos after all."

"Fine, kuya. How about mom and dad? What do I call them?"

"Mommy, Daddy." he answered. "They're not here. They went to Singapore few days back. I'm the only person here in our house."

"So going back to my question--"

"Ahhhh." He muttered. "You're going to California without even knowing the reason why you were chosen, in the first place?!"

I shook my head slowly.

"I get this weird feeling that the new Zodiac Killer is a girl. So they need to understand how a girl thinks. They need people like you to make sure that there will be no stones unturned. Of course, there are plenty of skillful girls in their force but their experience may just hinder with the investigation."
