The Ghost of the Ingram Hotel (2/3)

"During the construction of the Ingram Hotel, it has been a big commotion that a beautiful young girl was raped and beaten to death by the workers. It was a big news back then. It caused a lot of negative feedback, but Sir Jefferson Ingram, father of Ma'am Clarissa, was able to settle everything. Nobody knew how, but suddenly, that news subsided. No one ever talked back about the incident. There are rumors, but not big enough to ruin the hotel. And only a select few could remember that tragedy.

"Ma'am Clarissa wasn't even born that time yet. But it is definitely one of the darkest history of this hotel. If my memory serves me right, the victim's name was Andrea, a college student. She was fair, has a long shiny hair and definitely beautiful. She was on her way home but 3 suspected men abducted her. She was later then found on a cliff bare naked. It was said that the poor girl was played and raped repeatedly by those three construction workers. The girl was killed by a heavy blow on her head, smashing the forehead and part of the eyes. The men then tried to dispose her body by throwing it on a cliff, but a bystander saw their deed of throwing the body. The investigation swiftly rolled and arrested the 3 workers.

"But what's peculiar is that the 3 men who killed Andrea were all found dead in the prison cell. Their face, stupefied. Their eyes were wide open. It seems like they saw something bewildering and therefore caused a heart attack. It was too unconvincing that all 3 men suffered death from a heart attack at the same time.

"Some say that the ghost of Andrea showed to them, sucked out their life as a way of revenge. This is chilling to know that it is an incident rarely heard of. I've even kept some newspaper clip regarding this incident. I can show you if you want." Mildred narrated.

"So you're telling us that the ghost that is lurking in this hotel might be the victim - Andrea?" I inquired.

"I can't think of any possible circumstance." Mildred answered with a quivering voice.

She showed us the clippings from newspaper and it shocked me. I feel like I'm about to throw up when I saw how horrid the picture is. Andrea's face was whacked. What happened to her was very inhumane!

"Brii, we should ask the the people who saw the ghost." Beta said.

"Right." I answered.

"Mildred, can we have the keys to the rooms that are not occupied?" Beta asked

"If it would help you exterminate the ghost, then, by all means." Mildred said.

It should have been a vacation, but it turned out to be a sleepless night. It's already 8 in the morning, and perhaps, most of the guests at the fourth floor had a hard time sleeping after the commotion about sighting a ghost.

Skipping breakfast, we went to the fourth floor to gather some info about the ghost. The first to our list - the Araracap Family at room 407.

I knocked on the door, a cute little girl opened the door.

"Where's your mommy?" I said in a mellow voice.

The girl immediately ran and I heard her shouting "Mom! There's a beautiful lady looking for you". I also heard a voice saying "Who's looking for me, honey?", that must be her mom.

We waited for a few second. Beta's eyes are all over the place. Perhaps, he's also nervous because what we're dealing right now is not a person, but a ghost. Abyss Syndicate might be frightening, but a ghost? This level of fear is not the same. We are dealing with the supernatural, a field we haven't ventured.

"Who are you?" a lady came out of the room said.

Beta moved closer and said "We are with Ms. Mildred, we just want to inquire about the so called ghost. You are the first one to encounter the ghost, right?"
