My idea was immediately shot down.

"Why not?" I asked Erica. "Because we have no idea where they were taken and we have little to no resources." I started to argue but thought better of myself. The realization of Chip and Jawa's death slowly began setting in. Death is a funny thing, you almost forget they're gone until you remember them. What do we do now? We have nowhere to go, no one left, and no supplies, I thought to myself. "Well, what options do we have left?" I asked pacing around the room. Erica sighed, looking troubled. "Ben I- I don't know." Tears filled her eyes. That hit me like a brick, I had never seen Erica cry. Ever. I quickly went over to her side and she curled up in my embrace. "Shhhh it's okay, It's okay. I'm here for you." We sat there in each other's embrace, the world could've ended right there and I wouldn't have cared. I was with Erica and that's all that mattered.

I awoke to Mike staring at the two of us. He noticed I had awoken and greeted me with a soft smile. "After everything we've, she's been through. It's good that this is the one thing staying the same." He said. I nodded, "Yeah, bro I'm- I'm scared for her though. She's lost almost everyone and I don't know if she can handle it" Suddenly I heard a sigh. I looked down to find Erica wide awake staring disapprovingly at me. "I'm fine Ben," She said through gritted teeth. Mike rolled his eyes. "I didn't notice you were awake," I said trying to fix the awkward situation. "I'm never truly asleep Ben, you should know this by now." She said smirking. I sighed in relief at least she was in an okay-ish mood. Suddenly there was a large bang. The three of us jumped and turned to see the source of the sound. "What was that?!" I said. Erica quickly approached the source of the sound. "It's coming from below us" Her hands skimmed the rough ground until she found... "A secret entrance. Really?" She sighed. "Woah a secret entrance?" Mike said excited by this. Erica rolled her eyes and pressed the button camouflaged in the terrian. Suddenly a loud grinding sound and next to us the wall opened up revealing a long hallway. "After you" I said as Erica led the way as we plunged into the darkness.
