Jennies POV

"Jennie, come here. We have to talk about your upcoming birthday" My dad called as I walk towards the dining area. "Dad, my birthday is like in 2 months. And aren't you busy that day? We can just simply eat outside when you have time. Like what we always do I say as I recall every birthdays I have since the day my fathers company started having branches internationally. Its always 10 days later that we celebrate or they send me tickets to anywhere in the world for me to enjoy the day.

"That's why we have to talk about it. Sweetheart, you're turning 20. Also, since you're graduating college this March, I think we have the best gift for you." Oh no, my dad is smiling proudly, and I have a bad feeling about this. "No dad, its really okay. I just wanted to proceed with medicine. You know how much I wanted to be a doctor." "But you know Lalisa Manoban, right darling?" You like her right? Now, Im getting confused. "What about her?" "Me and your mom have agreed to this. We are going to help her dad. But before I got hit, I felt a woman embraced me before it all turned black. The next moment I woke up, I was in a hospital with my parents. And there was a man crying in the next bed with a little kid standing beside him. That moment, I knew that was the woman who embraced me to safety. The woman who died saving me. That was also the beginning of dad and Uncle Marcos friendship. But I never knew that the kid was Lisa, because according to Uncle Marco, after Lisas mother died, she asked to live with her grandmother back in Thailand. And I never saw her again until I was in high school.

"What? But why sell me off? You can just merge without you selling me off!" I spat angrily. The thought of Rose breaking in front of me made me angry with my life.
