19. CAUGHT

Jennie's POV

I stared at her for minutes. Trying to grasp the fact that she's in front of me before I look to Chan as he smiled at me. Suddenly, I was enveloped in warm embrace. Then I cried again. "Hey don't cry. I'm here." She said while patting my back. "Rosé. You're here. I'm sorry I haven't notice you entered. I was brawling my eyes out. I I'm sorry you saw me like this." "Stop. I heard everything, okay? Calm down first." She sat beside me and stared for a minute. It was a stare that holds a thousand words. Words I know that if I hear, I would cry all over again. She then held my hand and said, "Jennie, I know it's not my place to tell you this but, why don't you leave her? Or tell this to your family. Your dad would understand. He loves you, Jen. He wouldn't want you to be hurt." Before I could answer, I feel like the need to vomit so I stood up, cover my mouth and went to the comfort room with Rosé behind me. I opened the bathroom door and puked in the sink. Rosé then held my hair and rubbed my back. It feels like all the food I have eaten since morning came out of my stomach. "Hey J, are you okay? Does your stomach hurt?" "I..I don't know. But I feel like.." before I could finish my sentence, everything turned black.

I woke up feeling lightheaded. I let my eyes wander around and suddenly realized I was not in the restaurant anymore. Then I hear Chan and Rosé's voices outside the door. I tried to get out of the bed but then realized that an IV line is hooked in my left hand so I called out Rosé's name. Hearing my voice, she hurriedly opened the door and ran beside me. "Hey, are you okay?" I smiled and nodded. "I am okay. I just don't know why I ended up here." Before she can answer, Chan and another doctor went inside. Chan smiled and said, "While we were in the restaurant, you fainted in the bathroom so we brought you here. I had my suspicions but I wanted to confirm it first." He then looked to the doctor beside him. "Jen, this is doctor Han. Shes an Ob-gyne." I suddenly felt nervous and started to think of my period. Oh my gosh! I haven't had my period for almost two months! Oh no. "Hi Ms. Kim, I am Dr. Han So-hee. I am Dr. Park's colleague. I believe you just realized you missed your period. Right?" I looked at Chan, then Rosé, then back to Dr. Han. "Almost 2 months now. Oh now" I started to worry while Rosé held my hand. "Chan and Rosé told me that you're a medical student. So you must know that you're pregnant. 6 weeks to be exact. Congratulations!" She smiled while I was frozen. Rosé squeezed my hand guessing that this is not planned and she smiled at me. "It's going to be okay. We'll figure this out. Alright? I'm here." She hugged me and then I let my tears flow. Doctor Han said I can go home now if I wanted and excused herself with Chan following her to settle the papers. I told Rosé I needed to go home and maybe tell Lisa about this. She nodded and offered to drive me home which I accepted.

The ride to the villa was quiet. I keep thinking about telling Lisa and I know Rosé had doubts. Arriving in the house, I saw Lisa's car parked in the garage. I know she was not expecting me to come home early but so do I. She usually arrive home late. The car stopped and I started to get a bad feeling. "Jennie, does she arrive this early always?" she asked when she noticed Lisa's car. "No. Maybe she's just here to get something." "I don't think it's like that. I'll wait for you outside. Please give me a ring if you're okay. I'll go in if you I don't hear from you in 5 minutes. Please? I sighed and nodded. I know Rosé so much and she'll worry more if I try to send her off.

As I walk through the hallway to the bedroom, I felt more nervous. I opened the bedroom door but Lisa was not there. So I walked towards her office. As I get nearer, I noticed that the office door was opened. Then I started hearing noises or more like moans. I told myself that it was just my imagination but when I opened the door, there was Lisa with her pants pooled in her ankle, and her ex-girlfriend Somi, in Lisa's desk. Naked. They both turned their heads to look at me and I saw the horror in Lisa's face. I ran off to get outside but just as I was about to opened the door, Lisa caught my arm. "Jennie, wait. It's not what you think!" I was so angry that I pushed her away with all my strength. "Now it's not what I think? After seeing you balls deep with that slut?!" Then a hand slapped my face. I turned to see Somi with Lisa trying to pull her away from me. "Slut?! Youre the slut! If not for you, Lisa and I could have been married!" "Somi, stop! Jennie, I-" "What now Lisa? You wanted to say sorry so I don't have to tell father? So you could still own the company? No Lisa! Let me tell you I'm sorry. And extend that to your family! You won't get anything from me, not even your company!" I pulled the door opened and suddenly I felt a push that made me fell down the stairs on the porch. "Jennie!" I heard Rosé called before it all went to black.

I woke up and saw Chan. I'm in the hospital again. "Jennie, are you alright?" Chan asked me. "Chan, my baby. Oh my God! I was pushed down the porch. Lisa. She –" "Shhh..calm down. The baby is fine. Lisa cannot enter the hospital. Nobody knew about this also." "What about Rosé, where is she?" I asked remembering Rosé's voice was the last thing I heard. "She's okay. She's getting treated while talking with the police but, she'll be here in a minute." "Treated?" I asked confusedly. "Yeah. She saw you being pushed. She rushed to get you but your wife also rushed in trying to push Rosé away. It ended up in a fight while the neighbor called the police. Rosé said she had the incident recorded in her dashcam and Somi will be jailed. Rosé did filed the case." I cried again. I don't know what to do now. The door opened and Rosé came in running towards me. "Jennie, I'm glad youre alright. You and the baby are safe. Thank God!" "Rosé, did Lisa knew about the baby?" "I'm sorry Jen. I was too worried that I accidentally told her about you with a baby. That made her froze before I brought you here. She's banned in this hospital, don't worry." Oh no, Lisa will surely find a way. "Rosé, take me away from here. Please. Take me far away. To another country. I don't want to see her again. Please." I was crying again and again while Rosé held me. "Hey, I will. But your parents are her. They were there when I talked to the police. They knew what happened." Just as Rosé finished her sentence, Mom and Dad came in rushing towards me. "Oh my God darling. I am so sorry. I have been so selfish. I did not know what was happening. Thank God both you and the baby are safe." My dad said while my mom cried beside him. "Dad, I want a divorce. Please. And I want to get away from here. Please." I pleaded my dad. They both looked at each other.

Mom held my hand and said, "Honey, there is something you need to know."
