34. SURPRISE

LISA'S POV

A month after we have settled all the necessary things inside the house. I had informed my family about everything and told them we'll be in Korea in 2 months for the wedding as our family was originally from there. Still, I wanted to do this right. I wanted to propose to Jennie. This time, I'll be doing this with our son. I wanted it to be simple and intimate surprise so I just have to instigate this with my son.

As soon as we sent Jennie to work, I told my son we need to buy a ring first. He was so excited and told me, "Dada, we need flowers too. Mommy would love it." I nodded and told him we could buy hundreds of roses later. I also told him he needs to help me cook later which he said he definitely would.

We arrived in the mall and we immediately went to the jewelry shop. "Dada, look! Mommy will love this!" He said while pointing at the simple gold ring with a medium-sized diamond atop. I smiled at how Leo knows Jennie very well. I told the salesperson to pack it up and I paid for it. Leo was very satisfied that he wanted to hold the ring before putting it in the box. We then went to get groceries and then went to a flower shop. I bought a hundred roses. 99 was on a bouquet while the other one, well, we'll scatter the petals on the table. I also bought candles to make the atmosphere more romantic.

When we went home, I excitedly took out our groceries to prepare for later. As I planned a simple dinner, I cooked Leo's favorite Hungarian Chicken Paprika and Lasagna and Jennie's Texas Barbecue Medley (according to Jin). Eversince they lived here in America, they have been hooked to the American dishes so I really tried my best to study and perfect this dishes. After cooking, I had candles lit up and had dimmed the lights. I also instructed Leo to escort Jennie from the door which he agreed excitedly. I looked at the time and realized Jennie might be here soon so I told Leo we should go change.

After several minutes of getting ready and meeting, we heard a car pull up outside as Jennie said she will take a cab home. Leo immediately went to stand by the door wearing three-piece suit (as his request) while I just wore a khaki pants with white button up shirt to match Jennie's dress. I immediately went to our dining area to make sure everything was neatly arranged.

The door then opened and Leo bowed like a real escort. "Good evening my dear mommy!" Jennie was confused but laughed lightly at how cute he was. "Hi baby. What's going on? Why are you dressed like that and bowing like a gentle man?" Jennie asked as she leveled to his height. Leo just smiled and said, "Come on mommy. We have a surprise for you. Please take my hand, milady." Leo said as he offered his little hands. Jennie then took his hand and slowly walked to the dining area with Leo.

'Surprise mommy!" Leo yelled. Jennie Looked at the decorated table, then looked at me. I then walked to her. "Hi babe. I miss you." I kissed her as she smiled, speechless to the surprise. "What's the occasion hun?" I took the bouquet and gave it to her. "Here, for you my love." She took the flowers and was shock to see how plenty of roses was inside. "That's 99 roses. Now that you have it, it's a hundred. Because make them complete. You make me complete." Then I went down on my knee. "Jennie Kim, I know I was an awful wife before. I know I can't turn back the time to correct all my mistakes. But I am now ready to make up for the past and give you and Leo a future you deserve. I wanted to give you the love and life you deserve. I love you and Leo so much more than words can say. Jennie Kim, will you please marry me again?" I asked nervously as she looked at me with tears brimming in her eyes. "Lisa, I love you too. Let's forget the past. And yes, I will marry you again and again." I smiled happily and immediately put the ring on her finger before getting up and kissing her. "Thank you love! You made the happiest person." I told her as I started to cry too. "Yey! Mommy said yes!" I looked at Leo and saw him holding his phone which I guess was recording us. This naughty little boy. I called him to join our hug and he immediately jumped on my arms. "I love you mommy and Dada! But I'm hungry." We laughed and slowly put him on a chair beside Jennie.

We ate dinner as Leo talked about how we planned this event and how busy our day was. "Oh, I have a surprise for you two as well!" Jennie suddenly said as she got up and took two gift boxes from her bag. He handed each to both of us. "You guys open it at the same time." I excitedly peeled of the ribbon as Leo did the same. Inside my box, there was a tiny pair of shoes. I looked at Leo's and it contains tiny mittens. "What's this mommy? It won't fit in my hand!" "It won't because it's not for you, silly." Jennie said and then looked at me with a wide smile. I realized what it was. "Are you?.." She nodded. "Yes. I had suspected the other day but I had it confirmed today. I'm really pregnant! We're having another baby!" Leo squealed happily hugging Jennie. I also got up and joined the hug. "Oh my God! Thank you Jennie. I couldn't be happier! Thank you so much!"
