What was I thinking? I thought, pacing back and forth to keep an eye on our luggage, but I didn't glance at the ocean at all. Wait! I didn't do anything at all.

It was just an accidental peck and it was also not completely on my lips and everything would have been if he hadn't opened his mouth like that. And to top of that he actually accused me for the whole thing.

I stood still when I realized he is standing near our bags and turned to my left, but stopped looking at our friends kissing. Why is everyone kissing today? Wait! We didn't kiss. I turned away and immediately met his stare.

I turned to my right and felt my eyes widen when I heard Rohan and Preetha fighting and walked away from us. Now, which side should I go?

It is definitely not left and if I go towards right then I will be either an obstacle or they will feel embarrassed that I am near them.

"Crap!" we both uttered at the same time and stared at each other.

"I will return to the mainland." I said searching for the boat, but there were no people who are ready to leave and I can't go alone.

Wait! I can't leave him alone here with no phone. I shook my head and turned to see him, frowning at me.

"I am not going." I mumbled and he sighed shaking his head.

"Let's just forget about that." I added and he immediately nodded.

"We both were sleepy." He pointed out.

"Exactly! It was by mistake." I added to his words and he sighed in relief.

"And it was my mistake to say those words too." He apologized and I nodded smiling.

It is still awkward, but it is better than running away from each other like this when we are still stuck to each other for two more days not counting today.

"Lunch?" he asked, gesturing the bag and we both finished our lunch in a rush before awkwardly sitting together.

"I don't think we can go and call either of them, right?" I asked looking at him.

"We can stay longer. It's not even five and we will leave at five on dot." He replied and I nodded staring at the ocean.

"Okay! We can't get involved in one couple's fight or the other's matter too without feeling awkward. So, there is only an option." I mumbled, standing up and he too stood up along with me.

"I am going to finally do it." I added taking a deep breath.

"What? Make out with me?" he asked, raising his eyebrow.

"What? Why are saying such crazy things today?" I asked frowning at him.

"I just don't want to feel any awkwardness between us. I know you are angry that you got your first kiss as a mistake. You are not even meeting my eyes." He replied sighing.

"Anyway, I am going to experience this." Saying that I started walking towards the water, ignoring his words.

"I am fine!" I chanted to myself and took step by step and finally stopped when I felt a wave touching my ankle.

"Move!" I suddenly felt myself moving forward and realized Karthik is moving me more by pushing my shoulders.

"Stop!" I said, trying to shrug his hands off, but he didn't listen to me and continued to take me more into the water and I screamed when I felt the wave hitting my stomach.

"No more! I am slipping, Karthik." I pleaded with him.

"You already decided to try and you have to try completely. Don't worry about your safety as I am right with you." Saying that he made me take one more step.
