the birthday wish
If you could have one wish, what would it be? One wish to some how travel to a faraway land?
Or maybe step back into the past? Or the future? Or to go sideways into another world like your own but different in some way? Say you were born from different parents maybe? A parallel world?
A simple wish? Like a lifetime supply of ice cream? Or a complex wish? Like...well pages and pages to explain your wish... to get everything exactly right.
Today is my day for my wish. As you know, all of us here living in this Realm that we have named Rosewind, on our twenty fifth birthday we are granted our one wish by our King. King Rosethorn You have one year to use this wish, or it's gone not to be granted again and you only get the one wish...and today is my twenty fifth birthday... my wish day.... my best day for everything.
I have been thinking about this day for years now...thinking about my wish...what will I wish?
I only get the one...no second wish if I make a mistake...no do over...just this one chance for all of my life...it's a great deal of responsibility to be sure.
My mother and father have offered advice of course. They used their wish years ago. But it's up to me . It is my wish.
Our land is a beautiful and peaceful place. We all look out for each other and do all that we can to take care of each other. We are happy and full of hope. We love our land and each other...we are not selfish or mean. None of us would ever wish for anything that would cause harm to another.
I know I have to be careful with my wish...I do not want to do anything that will harm anyone at all. I want my wish to make things better for myself and for all of us...so what is my wish? I have had years to think about it...so many...
The wish-- to always have light and healing for myself and for others when I want it.
"Father?" I ask
"Yes,my son" he answered
"Do you remember what tomorrow is?" I asked him

"Hello, welcome, welcome!! Oh, I am so glad you have come! Please sit down and make yourself comfortable. I have a wonderful story to tell you today...a story about being lost, of being found...a story about a very special wish... a birthday wish."
