RESET
Let us suppose that you have unlimited chances to get your life right...you can pick and try as many ways as you like...until you hit on the one that is the best for you...how do you decide, or do you just keep looking? Will you recognize it when you find it even...or will you just go on past? looking for something better? I am finding that Iam faced with this problem...have I already missed it? Or is it one I have not looked at yet?
This is something that I have not shared with my readers yet...that I am not only in a time loop, I am actually trying to decide which loop is the best one for me ...which one do I want to spend the rest of my life in...my eternity in? And I've had some amazing lives so far... a unknown time loop where I am alone in it...one where I somehow find Claire ...one with an old fantasy feel to it and not even sure it's a time loop at all ...and Claire is not there but Ariel is. There is the computer simulation one and these are only a few of them. I've tried so many and still I'm not sure what it the best of the ones I have been in or is there one yet to try that will be The One above all the others?
Here's a fun one that I truly enjoyed so much...and the reason? It was like living in a Pixar cartoon! Toy Story 4 in fact and by that, I mean the world looked like it had been drawn by Pixar!! I looked like a cartoon for goodness sake's! It was so freaking cool I have to tell you...the set up was this...it's all a computer simulation of course right? But I picked the option of looking like a computer generated world rather than looking like a real world. A real world simulations looked so much like a real world that you could not tell the difference at all just by looking at it.
So there I was loving the visual look of it all so much and just the fun of seeing myself and the world rendered like a cartoon...wow I can't even begin to describe how much I nerded out over it and maybe that was the problem. I knew it was not real just by opening my eyes and looking at the world and after a time that not real aspect began to bother me and so I went on to the next one.. in my search for the perfect one.
There was two versions of this one.... people are animals instead of humans...think Redwall ok? Like that...and I tried with it looking like real animals and with cartoon ones ala Pixar and with both versions I could not really get into it...it was too much of a reach for me to really want to stay that way.
There was a Star Trek: The Next Generation set up in which it was still a time loop, but I was an ensign on the Enterprise and we lived that one day over and over and I was the only one aware of it and it was so amazing! I have to tell you and so far of all of them I think that maybe that is the...well it's in the top 5 anyways...
But I can keep searching and trying out scenarios until I happen upon the perfect one and maybe it's that aspect of unlimited tries that is making it so hard to pick the final one? Because I never have to actually pick one, I can just keep trying them out one after another forever.
How freaking cool is that!!!!???
I can live out my days in the Shire or on an island like Robinson Crusoe or like I was living in that Tom Hanks movie where he's on the island with the basketball? I tried them and yeah, not my style at all.
How about living in a MCU setup? With Captain America and Thor and SpiderMan? It was fun for a while, but not what I was looking for.
The one where I was married to Claire... now that was perfect, I have to say. She is so amazing...maybe that is the best one for me to live in? But what if she gets tired of it and wants a baby? What do I do then? With the set up as it is... we can't have babies....so yeah that one I am not sure about it ...do I want to give up the loop and raise a baby?
Ok so what is the next one to try out? So many possibilities to try that I have not tried yet...
....like how about a time loop where I'm still in high school? Would that do it? Or...say one in which I never got married and my time loop starts when I am 20 years old. So being 20 again is a big plus...but then again...maybe not so much? Yeah... that's not the right one either. Ok, how about a timeloop in the land of Conan the Barbarian? All that Sword and Sorcery? Where I am in the time loop I can still read books and watch movies but the set up is the world looks like a village in Conan's time? Maybe...but still what's the point really? Will that one even make it into the top five?
How about one in which the set up is like Finding Nemo? I'm a fish in the ocean swimming all the time? Try it as cartoon and as looking real? Maybe... but really? I am already thinking probably not.....OK, so what's the top five so far .... in no particular order...we have the married to Claire version...the Toy Story version... we have the STNG one...we have the Hobbits and last.... in no particular order remember... we have the Ariel version.
So...do I decide from them, or do I keep looking???
