The sun rays awoken me.
I turn around only to know that I'm on our bed.
I immediately jumped out from bed and ran towards the door.
"Eyra?" I am panicking.
"Mommy, we're here in the kusina po!" I sighed in relief. Wait?! "We"?
I thought she was taken away from me.
"Good morning, Celestine." a man with an apron greeted me.
The moment I looked at that person, my mouth was left open.
He look amazing with the gray sweater. A decent man will always look greater than a man exposing his abs, nahigitan ni Ryle ang mga iyon. He look simple but amazing.
"How's your sleep? I'm sorry, I slept here last night." tumalim ang mata ko sa narinig. "Erm, don't worry, I slept on the sofa. You fell asleep in the balcony last night and no one will lock the door so I chose to sleep here. I went in my room to change and come back here to cook you foods. D-don't think bad, I didn't do anything last night if that's what your thinking about!" he panicked.
I badly want to laugh. But I'm in a serious mood.
I slept on his arms last night! So that's why I woke up on our bed, he carried me! He even sleep here because no one will lock the door! And now, he's in my kitchen, cooking food for us! How dare me to think bad about him?! How can I even thank him for what he did?
"S-Salamat, and sorry for the bother. Hindi ka na sana nag-abala pa. You must be tired from work yesterday yet you're here. You should be the one resting."
"No, don't mind me. My work yesterday was just slight. And besides, Eyra's helping me bake the cookies."
So that's why my daughter's face are covered by flour.
"Yea, mommy! There is no pancakes so I'll eat cookies today." my daughter surely is having a great time.
"Need a helping hand, baby?" I asked.
"Yes, but fix yourself first, mommy. You look like a witch, hahaha!" I immediately went to a mirror to see.
"You should've told me sooner!" nagtatampong sigaw ko bago isara ang pinto ng banyo.
I washed my face first then brushed my teeth. Maybe it's like this because Ryle carried me last night. Nagulo siguro nu'ng ginawa niya iyon.
I sighed heavily when I already finished fixing myself.
Napatulala ako sa salamin.
This is me. My eyes didn't died when Farrah passed away because of our daughter. Eyra revived the colors of my eyes. What will happen once she's been taken away? Will these colors will stay? I would rather be blind.
