Chapter Four: To the loser

You enter the small arcade excitement runs through you. You walk up to the coin machine and put your change in. The large gold coins drop into the tray with a metallic clank. You scoop up the cold coins and turn around to see Bakugou nearly towering over you. You back up slightly surprised and bump into the coin machine. You hold out your hand looking away feeling slightly flustered.

"Here."

You drop the coins into his hand quickly. You look back at him a sly smirk sliding over your face.

"The loser has to be nice to the other for an entire day. No shouting or arguing."

Bakugou snickers devilishly at you, bouncing the coin in his hand.

"Deal."

"We can take turns picking games."

Bakugou walks over to a duel player shooting game. He speaks up with a cocky tone.

"Let's play this one first. Only fair to give you a fighting chance once."

"It's ok Baku-bitch I'll coddle your fragile ego this time."

"Don't have to play nice, we both know who has the real skill here."

"Oh, you sound worried."

"Find out."

You walk over jamming your coins into the slot trying to beat Bakugou. You pick up the toy gun, nearly punching the start button. The game starts and tons of mutated bugs start attacking. You manage to shoot all the ones that come into view. You sneak a look over at Bakugou who has managed to shoot all the gold bugs. You start feeling the competition raise your heart rate. A huge bug comes out of nowhere and kills you. Bakugou snickers and looks over at you.

"Maybe you should give up now."

"In your dreams pretty boy."

You pick out another game and crush Bakugou at it. You go through the arcade picking games and exchanging passive-aggressive insults at each other. At one point you see what appears to be a genuine smile on Bakugou's face as he watches your intense pinball fight. You watch the small silver ball as it flies through the course. You passed Bakugou's high score and let the ball funnel back into the machine.

"Uh oh Bakugou you getting worried yet?"

He scoffs and walks over to the last machine, Mario cart.

"You might be tied with me but I'll be damned if I let you win."

Denki walks up to you flashing his cheeky grin.

"Ready to go yet?"

You both snap your heads at him and shout.

"Like hell I am!"

You shift your eyes to Bakugou's and narrow them.

"I have to bury this pomeranian in defeat."

"Like hell, I'm going to lose to an extra!"

You nearly trample each other getting into the seats. Denki and the others crowd around to watch the finale. The game starts and you shoot past him taking the corners tight and not letting up on the throttle. Bakugou managed to catch up and starts throwing mushrooms and banana peels at you. One gets you and spins you out. Bakugou pulls ahead, but you got him with some squid ink. It doesn't slow him down and he hits the boosts widening the distance between your carts. Your cornering is better than his and you managed to hit the boosts. In a last-ditch effort, you throw a mushroom but he managed to accidentally dodge. He crosses the finish line and throws his head back laughing. He looks over at you, who's nearly vibrating with rage. You stand up and walk past the others keeping your voice low so you don't yell.
