All you managed to do was stare at him. He'd passed out next to you, holding you close to him. He was so beautiful laying there peacefully, his face looking relaxed. Despite the internal battle you lost and put up your hand; running your fingers through his soft hair gently. He stirs, opening his eyes slowly, looking into yours. He smiles softly, taking your hand in his."I need to go."
You huff out in disapproval as he pushed himself up. He grabs his shirt off the floor and throws it on. He turns back to you looking down at you softly, that adorable pink hug littering his cheeks. He rubs the back of his neck looking at the wall and gritting his teeth.
"Tsk."
You look at him dully before falling back into your bed and glaring at the ceiling.
"Spit it out."
He grumbles lightly under his breath before leaning over you.
"Sleep well...beautiful."
He plants his lips on yours tenderly before getting off the bed. He walks over to the door opening it slowly. He looks at you softly before closing the door behind him.
You look up at the ceiling smiling softly. Your mind replaying everything that just accord. His fingers brushing over your skin, his lips exploring yours. You push yourself up looking at the floor blankly. You let out a soft sigh and throw your clothes on. You didn't know what you were doing, or where you were going. But you felt wrestles, unable to sit still or fall asleep.
You open your door and notice some of the others are still up. It must not have been as late as you thought it was. You walk down the hall poking your head around the corner. Kiri and Mina were sitting on the couch talking. You stuff down the anxiety and step around the corner into view. Mina looks over at you, a wide smile crawling over her lips.
"Hey y/n-chan."
"Hey."
"Want to join us? We are playing two truths one lie."
"Um, I'm not really-."
"Awe come on."
She whines softly as she gives you a pouty face. You sigh softly and walk over sitting on the couch across from her and Kiri. Kiri flashes a devious smile as he looks over at you. You narrow your eyes at him as he starts to speak.
"Okay y/n since you just joined how about you tell us your two truths one lie."
You grumble softly under your breath as you try to think something up.
"Um, I don't really like people, my favorite color is (fav color), and uh, I came to U-A to escape my old life."
Mina pipes up excitedly.
"Oh oh I know you don't really like people, and um hmmmm, oh your lie is your favorite color."
You shake your head, smiling softly.
"So your lie is about U-A?"
"Yeah."
"So why did you decide to go to this school? I mean I know you're a transfer student. But um why U-A?"
You look at the ground avoiding Mina and Kiri's eyes. The ache in your chest started to act up again.
"I wanted to become a hero, so I managed to get ecepted through a program."
Kiri speaks up.
"Well I'm happy you got in, you're a welcome classmate. Even if you are a bit rough around the edges."
You look up giving Kiri a small smile.
"Whoa you can smile."
"Shut it."
He chuckles and looks at the time frowning.
"Well I think it's time we get to bed. Class starts early tomorrow and I want to get enough sleep."
Mina nods getting up and waving as she walks away with Kiri.
You let out a soft sigh as you curl up on the couch. You hold your knees and hang your head stairing into the darkness. You hear footsteps and snap your head up watching the figure approach. Denki sits beside you, his face illuminated by the light pouring in through the windows.
"You doing okay?"
"Y-yeah."
"So I was thinking since you seem to need some company this weekend you should come over."
"Eh?"
"Yeah, it'll be fine, my mom loves you."
You smirk as you stare out the window sadly. You'd met Denki's mom once before. It was after the attack at training camp. You had gone over to Denki's to see how he was doing when she answered the door. In truth she scared you because you didn't want her to be disappointed in you. She reminded you of your mom in a way that made you smile.
"Hey, where'd ya go?"
You snap back giving Denki your attention again.
"I should talk to Katsuki first. He might be a bit jealous of you."
"Pff I doubt it."
"I'd rather not find out the hard way."
"So you'll come?"
You look at the ground stuffing the surfacing sadness back down.
"I'll, think about it."
"Y/N?"
"Hm?"
"If you want to talk about it-."
"Stop."
"I'm just saying I'm here for you."
"I know, I just, I can't."
"Maybe you need to."
"Denki."
You growl irritatedly, signaling him to stop talking. He chuckles softly as he backs off. He gets up patting your head softly before walking off.
"You really should go to him."
You feel the tears slowly start to trail down your cheeks at his words. You mutter softly causing him to grin as he walks away.
"Shut up."
You throw your head back taking a deep breath and getting off the couch. You stare down the dark hall feeling the anxiety nearly crush you. You couldn't do it, you couldn't walk down that dark hallway. Back to that room, that quiet lonely room. It reminded you how you felt going to sleep every night in that emty house. So you'd stay on the couch, the feeling of hope they'd come home helped calm you down. Somewhere along the lines it turned into a habit. That's why you found yourself sitting on the couch in the dorm. Maybe in your heart you were still hoping they'd walk through the door. Smile at you and say they're sorry they were so late. Be brave y/n, beat the fear, beat the monsters. You take one step forward but that was all you could do. You grit your teeth trying to convince yourself to turn around. Why did you have to be alone? Why did this world take everything from you? Why do I have to walk down this horrifying hallway? Wait, I'm not alone am I? And I don't have to do this by myself....
