The gift

I did end up waiting for Desmin when he did come back; he had a small gift box. He sat down next to me again, I did notice that he wasn't paying attention to me or anyone just the box. It must be very important to him, I look at the box it was a soft violet with a purple bow, but it looked very old. In fact, it looked older than him.

I look back at him, he looked nervous. I grabbed his wrist and he looked up at me and smiled.

"If you don't give it away you do have to."

I said with a smile, he returned the smile and put the box back in his pocket. Then he stood up grabbed my wrist and pulled me up to him. He said

"Why don't we get you some food you must be hungry."

I shrugged; I'm not really that hungry I don't really need to eat that often. I mean with all the food Desmin gives me himself I have put on a little weight. I felt his hand slide up to my elbow I felt a tingling from the trail of his fingers. I was directed to a table where all my friends were I noticed that my dearest and best friend was there sitting next to Gabrielle. I smiled and ran to them.

Alice smiled as she saw me she stood up and ran to me. We hugged each other throughout all our girly screams, I did make out that she thought I had died. With that, I quickly turned my head to glance at Desmin

Was that what he told everyone?

I turned my attention back to Alice and notice she a beautiful sky blue grown. I smiled at her so happy that she was there. After that, I introduce her to Deena then we spent the rest of the night gossiping and talking about random things.

At the end of the night, we said our goodnights and left

The next afternoon, when I woke up, I found the box that Desmin had last night. With a note, I assumed from Desmin.

To my dearest Rita,

I am so sorry that I couldn't give it to you. I have held on to this for as long as I can remember. It had helped me through some dark times, and I have held it close during times of joy. I really don't want to let it go but it's not me to hold it's never been mine, I was just holding on to it for someone.

I undid the bow, open the box and found that there was a necklace. For the pendant, it was clear what I'm going to think is a crystal teardrop that is trapped in a cage of wire. The chain it was silver with every fine link holding it together. I reread the note,

If he was really holding, it for someone then why was giving it to me?

Should he hold it until that person come back and collects it?

I put the necklace back in the box left in the room as I left, I will deal with it later. For now, I had things to do like find out how does Alice know about what I actually do or what lies has she been told. Then I have to make sure that Brain hadn't come to take Deena away, also how badly was she affected by severing him Brain for the time she has. However, before all, I should get something to eat so Desmin doesn't feel like he is responsible for feeding me. All Tho he will, it no matter what I do, he always has a plate of food ready for me when he first sees me.

I went to the kitchen, found the eggs put four of them in a pot and boiled them. I let them cool then down and took the shells off, cut them in half add salt and pepper to them. I had them just like that when I was finished I did the dishes then left to find everyone else.

I found Deena, I think trying to sneak into Desmin's room. After a good night's sleep, she seemed perfectly fine; I just rolled my eyes and let her be it took me about half an hour to find Alice. First, I found my brothers in the training room hanging off the bars. God their monkey, I thought because of the way they were moving. I had left the room before they had even noticed that I was there it was a convocation I didn't feel like having. Knowing they are going to ask what my plan is, considering have no clue as to what that is, talking about it with them won't help. They will probably try to convince me that I don't need anyone but them, and then we will runoff.
