Hanyang and Gyul have been dating for 5 years since graduating from college. They even have their own cafe.

Gyul: happy anniversary
Hanyang: happy anniversary. Woah what's this?
Gyul: let's go on a trip together. It's been awhile since we had a vacation.
Hanyang: finally.
Gyul: I'm sorry if this is not what you were expecting.
Hanyang: what do you mean?
Gyul: i know we've been together for a long time but I  have not proposed yet.
Hanyang: it's okay. No pressure.
Gyul: it's just that I want us to be financially stable at least when we get married.
Hanyang: well we are kinda married already. The moment we moved in together 😆
Gyul: but still. I want it to be special for you.
Hanyang: awe! I didn't imagine you to be this romantic. After all this years.
Gyul: i may be cold sometimes. But i do love you.
Hanyang: i love you too.

Gyul was saving money so she can propose to Hanyang and afford a special wedding. She even tried applying for a second job since their cafe is not doing well for the past year.

Romsae: hello 📱
Hanyang: Romsae!
Gyul: hey
Romsae: what are you girls up to these days? How's  the cafe
Hanyang: we went to Jeju last week.
Romsae: oh right. It's your anniversary
Hanyang: you didn't even give us a call.
Romsae: sorry I  was so busy. Anyways I'll be coming home this weekend. Can we meet.
Hanyang/Gyul: sure

Gyul got excited. It's been a while since she last saw Romsae. Then she thought to herself
