Author's Notes:
Are you with me on this love train? We all know that they somehow lost each other. So let's find out what happened, shall we?

The kiss was awkward and wet. They didn't know what they were doing or even what they were supposed to be doing. Their tongues swirled and crashed in a dance that was completely new to both of them. Their soft moans, shy and broken at the start, soon turned into something hungry and heavy that lingered in the air. This was pure instinct driving them as they latched on to each other, hungrily sucking on lips and licking into the others mouth.
Zhou Zi Shu released his wrists and those warm hands started wandering over his body, almost searing his skin and that qi he had felt earlier was now burning through his meridians. Wen Ke Xing's free hands buried themselves into that long black hair. Their kisses started to wander down the sides, along the jaw and neck only to return like a magnet to suck on those lips again.
Wen Ke Xing pulled the man closer and angled the head so that he could reach further inside that mouth but instead, their teeth collided in a painful way. Jolting from the sudden pain, they broke free from each other for the first time in minutes. Panting, Wen Ke Xing lifted his head in search for those red and swollen lips but Zhou Zi Shu pulled back and searched for his eyes, "Ah-Xing, wait."
Wen Ke Xing evaded his gaze, not understanding that Zhou Zi Shu only wanted to check that he was fine. His heart was beating so fast, he thought it might evacuate his chest at any moment. Oh, no—what did I do? I ruined it. He will hate me now. He will leave me now. I forced myself on him, just like—
And just like that, Wen Ke Xing was pulled back to the horrors of his past. The horrors that he had managed to escape. The horrors that still haunted him at night when Zhou Zi Shu wasn't there to chase them away with his smile.
"I—I'm sorry. I—I didn't mean to—", Wen Ke Xing mumbled as he pulled free. He wasn't sure how he had untangled all those limbs, but he was somehow standing, Zhou Zi Shu still on the floor. He was confused. The inside of the room had been replaced by the visions, sounds and smells from his various cages in Ghost Valley. Run, I have to run.
Wen Ke Xing was deep in his memories when he fled out the door. It had stopped snowing and the sun was now a pink shimmer of hope on the horizon.
"Ah-Xing, wait! Where are you going? Come back!"
He heard a voice calling for him. He heard the footsteps behind him, creaking in the hard snow. I can't let them catch me. Run! I have to run!
He found himself sprinting along the riverbank. When he slipped on the ice, he stumbled to the side and crashed out onto the thin layer that had spread throughout the night and now covered the river. The cracks were instant and before he had even turned around, his body was submerged in the water. The echoes of his past were so strong inside his head, he couldn't see anything anymore. All he could feel was the cold that surrounded him.
He tried to fight off the hands that were holding on to him, clinging to him, pulling on him. "Let me go! Don't touch me! LET ME GO!"
He kept screaming and twisting until a voice slowly started to break through his frantic thoughts, "Ah-Xing! AH-XING! It's just me. It's Zi Shu-Ge! Stop fighting!"
The face calling his name, over and over, finally came into focus and he saw Zhou Zi Shu struggle to hold on to him. They were in the river. He had pulled Zhou Zi Shu into the river with him. How long had they been in the river? His body temperature was so low, his qi had almost stopped flowing. He couldn't even use his QingGong at this point. It's all my fault.
