When Wen Ke Xing wakes up, he sees Zhou Zi Shu folded over the side of the bed. He is sleeping on top of their interlaced fingers and drooling adorably. With the memories still fresh in his mind, he whispers, "Zi Shu-Ge~"

Zhou Zi Shu stirs, stretches a bit and wipes his wet lips. "It took you long enough to remember, Ah-Xing."

Wen Ke Xing swallows the lump in his throat, his voice almost calling for that boy all those years ago, "Zi Shu-Ge~"

Zhou Zi Shu scoffs and lifts his head, kissing the back of Wen Ke Xing's hand. "Don't you dare forget me again!"

Wen Ke Xing's eyes fills with tears, his voice is back to being a whisper, "Ge-Ge..."

He can't believe he forgot about him. He can't believe that he forgot about the boy he had met all those years ago. The boy who saved his life more than once. The boy that kept him safe for a year. The boy he had fallen in love with—his first and only love.

Trying to hold back his own tears—and failing—Zhou Zi Shu bends forward and kisses those soft lips, whispering back, "Ah-Xing, it's fine. Everything is fine now."

Wen Ke Xing blinks away his tears, his voice soft, "What happened? Are you okay? Is Ah-Xiang okay?"

Zhou Zi Shu smiles and pats him on the arm, "Everything is fine, everyone is fine."

Suddenly realizing something, Wen Ke Xing jolts into a sitting position, his head throbbing so hard he almost vomits blood. He suppresses the strong metallic taste in his mouth and grabs on to Zhou Zi Shu's shoulders, twisting him left and right whilst scanning his body, "Are you injured? That nail hit you! She said you were stabbed! She said you died!"

Zhou Zi Shu flinches a bit and pulls back, "The nail only grazed me, I am already healed. You've been sleeping for three days. And yes, I was stabbed. So take it easy, will you."

"Ah-Xu!"

"What happened to Zi Shu-Ge?"

"Don't joke with me. Tell me, what happened? Are you okay?"

Zhou Zi Shu takes hold of Wen Ke Xing's shoulders and gently guides him back down to rest his head against the pillow.

"Yes, I was stabbed through the chest right before I fell over the cliff with Daiyu—"

"DAIYU?!?!" Wen Ke Xing would have jolted back up again if it wasn't for Zhou Zi Shu just gently holding him in place.

"Yes, Daiyu. It was Daiyu who jumped from the other side of the river and joined us against the assassins."

"But who is she? How does she know kung fu? She has martial arts? What happened after you fell? Where is she now? And most importantly—how could you let someone stab you?"

Wen Ke Xing is throwing so many questions at him at the same time, his head is spinning and his wound throbs a little bit, still far from fully healed. He gently caress Wen Ke Xing's cheek and smiles at his worrywart of a husband, "Ah-Xing, slow down. I can't tell you if you keep interrupting."

Pouting, a furrow appears between Wen Ke Xing's eyebrows but he remains silent, raising one eyebrow indicating for Zhou Zi Shu to tell his story.

"My memories merged when we were fighting. Somehow the qi from my past merged with my current and that caused all my memories to finally fall into place. I blacked out when it happened. It was just for a second but one of them managed to stab me in the back."
