Solas' P.O.V

We made it to Emprise du Lion earlier than expected, and before Red Templars did any more damage here. It was getting dark when we arrived at the first camp The Inquisition had set up. We ate quickly as it was getting cold and we were tired from the long journey from Skyhold. While we ate we planned for tomorrow. I was to go with The Inquisitor, Dorian, and Cole across Judiael's Crossing and kill Kaltenzahn as it was getting closer and closer to the people of Emprise du Lion, while Blackwall and Varric were to go search the area for any remaining Red Templars and get rid of them.

"Soooo.... who's sleeping in which tent?" Varric asked, staring at me smirking.

I wanted to hit him. Unlike me but I knew exactly what he was hinting at.

"Dorian and Cole in one, Varric and Blackwall in the other, and Solas and I will have the last, as usual." The Inquisitor said with a straight face.

Varric was still staring at me smirking, and now looked as of he was about to burst into laughter.

"Okay just seeing if there were changes," Varric said, his amusement clear in his voice.

We all went to our separate tents after saying goodnight.

"Which side do you want?" I heard Vhennan ask me once inside the small tent.

"Either, you pick. I don't mind."

"How about we push the mats together so I can use you as a pillow again? If you don't mind, that is." She said, blushing again.

"Happily, my heart," I smiled at her.

Once our armour had been taken off and put to the side along with her sword and my staff, I moved one mat closer to the other. I climbed onto one mat and pulled the warm fur blanket over me while she went outside to check on Scout Harding for any news on the Red Templars. I closed my eyes and thought about earlier today. I'm still getting over the fact that she loves me. I felt a cold breeze and knew she was back. I opened my eyes to see her closing the tent flap.

"My heart," I said as she lay down next to me.

"Are you alright?"

"Yes, I am wonderful. Why wouldn't I be?"

"Good," she smiled at me. "tired from the long journey, or because of Varric. You don't seem too pleased with him, from you scowling at him when organising sleeping arrangements."

"Oh, it's nothing, don't worry. I am a little tired, but I imagine you are, even more, having to sort out everything from when we attack the Red Templars to which way we go to petty things such as who gets the last potato. You have a lot going on, and you are unbelievably strong and dealing with this well."

"I don't know how I've dealt with it for so long, but yes I am tired. And now I have you, it makes it easier," she said as she moved closer to me. Her arms were pulled up and against my chest, her head was resting on my neck.

I wrapped my arms around her as I said, "You should sleep Vhennan, there's plenty of time to talk tomorrow. I'll hold you in my arms until you wake to help you fall asleep."

She yawned and snuggled up closer still.

"Good night, Solas."

"Sweet dreams Vhennan."

A few moments later I could faintly hear her softly snoring, and I soon fell asleep to the calming sound.
