Lavellan's P.O.V
"What is it, Josephine?" I sighed.
"We have received word that the Empress is danger, someone is targeting her and plans to attack during the peace talks." She explained quickly, writing and going through the papers scattered all over her desk.
"What's the plan?" Cullen asked as he and Leliana appeared behind me.
"Find out who's targeting Empress Celene. Eliminate them and save the Empress."
"Easier said that done. All the important members of the Orlaisian court will be there. We can't simply stroll in there and attack." Josephine stood from her desk, creating a circle of advisers around me.
"Any ideas?" I shifted my weight from one leg to the other.
"We will need to gain the court's approval is we are to investigate into who is targeting the Empress." Josephine was going through the papers on her clipboard
"I think it might be Duke Gaspard since he is trying to claim Orlais for himself," Leliana added, who had been silent up until then
"He is the most likely suspect. But we will have to dig deeper to know for sure, which we cannot do until we are there." Josephine replied. "I'll get us an invitation to the ball. You Inquisitor, prepare for the ball."
I left the advisers to their planning in the war room and headed to the tavern. The Iron Bull will be there, and he's good with getting his way with people, as is Josephine. But she is away ruining friendships to get us an invitation. Besides, The Iron Bull is more fun.
Several rounds of alcohol later, I was overconfident, and Iron Bull had taught me how to get what I want. Now to go and test it out.
"Solas..." I draw out his name as I lean against his study's door frame.
"Vhenan." He walked away from his work over to me, stopping just before he reached me.
I slowly stepped to him, leaving little space between us. I wrap my arms around his neck before I look him in the eyes.
"Are you busy? I can come back later if you are." I moved closing the gap between us.
"No, Vhenan. I'm never too busy for you." he looked at me, his face was serious as usual.
"Good" I nuzzled his neck. He placed his hands on my waist as I looked up at him. All traces of seriousness was gone. I smiled at him.
He leant down to kiss me, I let his lips brush mine before I pulled away. I grabbed his hand and pulled him over to the couch. I glanced behind me, he didn't look very pleased with me. I pulled my arm back in front of me so Solas was standing in front of the couch. I let my lips brush him before I pushed him back on the couch. Solas grabbed my hips and pulled me onto the couch next to him. As he goes to kiss me I move to curl up against his side. He settles for kissing the top of my head. I turn so I'm sitting facing him. I go to kiss him but before I touch his lips I move and kiss his cheek. I start to go lower, kissing down his neck, he tries to kiss me back but I won't let him.
"Vhenan please" he pulls my face to his, and again before our lips meet I look up and kiss his forehead.
"You know how we're playing Wicked Grace against Blackwall later?" He pulls my face to his, and again before our lips meet I look away and kiss his cheek.
"Yes," I started to kiss along his jawline. I saw him smiling from the corner of my eye.
"You're really good at Wicked Grace. You'll win." I began to kiss down his neck once more, my teeth occasionally graze his skin.
